Mechanical Waste Recovery
In recent times increasing environmental awareness and sustainable use of resources have introduced a paradigm change in society. At Küttner we know the worth of recyclables and offer a range of equipment and processes to properly extract value from secondary raw materials which would otherwise be rejected or regarded as waste. Our processes are subdivided into mechanical, organic/biological and thermal waste recovery. Starting with mechanical waste separation in cooperation with our partner Sutco Recycling Technik, Küttner offers client‐orientated solutions including turnkey plants for the processing of household waste, MBT organic fractions as well as source segregated biowaste and foodwaste. All recycled resources, such as plastics, organic products, paper and board, etc. are then available as secondary raw materials for re‐use in further production processes.
Organic/Bio Waste Recovery
The residual wastes exiting mechanical recovery are rich in organics, which can be digested into a high‐energy gas. The resulting biogas is well‐suited to fuel combined heating and power units as well as automobiles, and for being fed into natural gas supply. Küttner provides turnkey plants covering the entire field from the withdrawal of wastes to the production of power and heat. We also build horizontal digesters employing the Axpo-Kompogas process, with equipment for the charging and decharging of digestates plus alternative options for biogas recycling. Thermal Waste Recovery
Residuals and wastes often exhibit pretty high calorific values. It pays to make use of this energy for both, municipalities and companies. The energy chemically bound in these wastes is first released by combustion, then dissolved from the exhaust gas and finally fed into recovery boilers. Here, it is transferred to thermal unit heat carriers so that it can be used for power generation, e.g., in a steam power plant. Just one out of many examples: Küttner implemented turnkey fluid‐bed plants on this basis. They all distinguish by utilization of waste heat allowing the thermally efficient use of both household as well as industrial sewage sludge. Off-Gas Cleaning
Clean Off‐Gases for a Neat Environment. Industrial off‐gases may contain substances which should be prevented from escaping into environment. This affects, e.g., thermal waste treatment in primary industry as well as chemical industry. Heat Technology
Safe utilization of huge amounts of waste heat from energy‐intensive processes is one focus of Küttner Energy GmbH. Ecostat heat exchanger represents the core of our systems. It is based on heat pipes allowing for the indirect exchange of the heat incorporated in two bypassing media. Accordingly, it is possible to make use of the endmost energy content of waste heat, e.g., to preheat combustion gases, fresh air, etc. Ecoflow represents our solution for economic use of recovered energy. This heat displacement and distribution system supports you in furnishing your demand even over long distance. Heat accumulators for stationary industrial processes serve for decreasing off‐gas temperatures to filter entry levels. Many smelting furnaces are characterized by high process temperatures, making water-cooling of components a necessity. Küttner excels in the construction of total recooling facilities for high‐capacity blast furnaces.
