Etigam Irrad indicators are stick on labels which are designed to demonstrate that the item has been exposed to sufficient gamma, X-ray or beta irradiation. They distinguish the difference between processed and non-processed items by a colour change of the indicator. These indicators are to be used on individual items to be sterilized. The standard indicators are manufactured in different shapes (round, square or Meto shape) and some also feature text. These indicators can be delivered from stock.

ETIGAM steam sterilization process indicators are stick on labels which are designed to demonstrate that the item has been exposed to steam. They are designed for use in steam autoclaves operating at 121°C/1 bar or 134°C/2 bar. The indicators change colour from pink to dark brown. By using steam indicators, autoclaved products can be distinguished from non-autoclaved
products. These indicators can be delivered from stock.

NSS spore strips are traditional biological indicators used to monitor Steam, Ethylene Oxide, Dry heat and Gamma / E-Beam sterilization processes. They contain bacterial spores on a paper carrier strip within a peel open glassine envelope.

Self-contained biological indicators (SCBI’s) are available for monitoring the efficacy of Steam, H2O2/ Plasma and Ethylene Oxide/ Dry heat sterilization processes. SCBI’s contain bacterial spores on a paper carrier (or tyvek disc for H2O2/plasma) plus a sealed glass ampoule within a vented plastic vial. The glass ampoule contains a proprietary formulation of soybean casein digest culture media with a pH indicator. The pH indicator remains purple when there is no spore growth and yellow when there is spore growth. This allows quick visual determination of sterilization failures (yellow colour).
