Valves made in 254 SMO are mostly used in urea production, or in processes containing fatty acids or high halide concentrations.

Similar to 254 SMO, AL-6XN shows solid resistance to reducing acids and chlorides.

The low carbon content in 904L, also known as Uranus B6®, makes this non-stabilized austenitic alloy resistant to sulfuric acid. It is non-magnetic, and is resistant to corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion.

Alloy 20 valves are a chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy most often used for high concentrations of sulfuric acid. Alloy 20 is resistant to pitting and chloride ion corrosion, and the element of copper impedes corrosion in sulfuric acid.

Alloy 31 valves are a iron-nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel alloyed with nitrogen. Alloy 31 is resistant to corrosion and erosion in phosphoric acid and is often used un bleaching plants and the pulp and paper industry.

Copper-Nickel and Cupro-Nickel are excellent materials to resist biofouling and seawater corrosion. Nickel, Copper-Nickel and Cupro-Nickel material specification and equivalents. Nickel CZ100, Copper-Nickel C70600 and Cupro-Nickel C71500 valves and their use.

Super Duplex valves and their use. With a 25% Cromium component, super duplex valves are designed to withstand seawater corrosion and other intergranular corrosion and pitting.

Bellow seal gate valves are used in operations where leakage in chemical processing is required to be limited zero, often to Fugitive Emission standards like ISO 15848 or TA Luft. A bellow is welded onto the stem and bonnet which prevents leakage. This completely seals off the interior of the valve.
