Butterfly valves are used to regulate or shut-off a flow, and are the preferred solution in larges sizes up to 4000 mm. FAMAT SA can supply different types, depending on the application. Butterfly valves with centric disc. They are the most economical type, best adapted for pressure up to 16 bars, and in sizes up to 2000 mm.

Gate valves are used for shut-off purpose on a pipeline. FAMAT can supply different types: “Description missing” Bolted Bonnet, connection NPT, SW, or Flanged, in materials A105, LF2, 304L, 316L, F11, F22, F91.

Check valves or Non-Return valves are used to allow a fluid to flow in one direction only and will automatically close to prevent a counter-flow.

The FAMAT Air-and Vacuum valves protect large pipelines of water transmission lines or vessels, with their automatic single, double or triple actions, with adjustable set-points : Air inlet to prevent vacuum collapse. Air outlet during the filling. Air release of small air pockets during operation.

An automatic control valve regulates a flow or a pressure of a fluid without external power source, no actuator is necessary resulting both in a most reliable and economic solution.

Control valves are used mainly within industrial plants to control operating conditions such as flow, pressure, temperature, and liquid level by fully or partially opening or closing in response to signals received from controllers that compare a “set point” to a “process variable” whose value is provided by sensors that monitor changes in such conditions. The opening or closing of control valves is done by means of electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.

Ball valves are durable and usually work to achieve perfect shut-off even after years of operation. They are therefore an excellent choice for shut-off applications (and are often preferred to globe valves and gate valves for this purpose). They are easy to repair, operate manually or by actuators (except welded style). Metal-seated ball valves can fullfill the highest requirement (high temperature). Famat can supply four general body styles of ball valves supplied with a full port or reduced port.

These valves are mostly used for isolating function in small sizes from ½” to 3” sometimes up to 14” and maximum pressures of 10 bars. The materials are cast, ductile iron or carbon steel which can be unlined or lined with rubber or PFA, with diaphragm in a large range of rubber quality.

The oldest design of valve comprising of a body with a tapered, or less frequently, a parallel plug. FAMAT can supply lubricated plug valves up to 24” class 600 lbs.

Globe valves are used for shut-off or regulating of a flow in a pipeline, and exist in different style: Straight pattern: Most common type. Y-Type: For maximum flow with low pressure-drop. Our range covers both style, but we will mention here the most common types straight patterns.
