The chemical combi air scrubber is an extended version of the chemical low resistance plate scrubber. The chemical combi scrubber is equipped with an extra biological cleaning package. By using a second filter wall, not only the emission of ammonia, but also odor and particulate matter are greatly reduced. In this system, the air in the stable first passes through the low resistance plate filter with acidified process water, then through a plastic net filter with biological process water. The biological effect means that odor and dust particles are extracted from the stable air. Waste water in the biological phase can be used to replenish the process water in the chemical phase. The chemical combi air scrubber has an ammonia reduction of 85%, an odor reduction of 30% and a particulate matter reduction of 80%. According to European certification, the dust reduction is even more than 95%. The chemical combi scrubber is certified in the Netherlands under number BWL 2006.14.

Farm Air has two chemical low resistance plate air scrubbers in its range: a version with 70% ammonia reduction and a version with 95% ammonia reduction. Both air scrubbers use the same technique. The central element are the specially developed low resistance plates. The low resistance plate package is sprayed with acidified process water. The process water binds the ammonia, but also the odor and dust particles. Because the low resistance plate package is not sprayed continuously, but for about 1 minute every 20 minutes, these scrubbers have very low energy costs. With the chemical air scrubber, an efficiency of 70% or 90% can be achieved, for both systems the odor reduction is 30% and the particulate matter reduction is 35%. The operation of the air scrubber is fully automated.

Due to the high demand for a compact air scrubbing system for existing stables, Farm Air has developed the NET-tube system. Many livestock farmers have to provide existing stables with air scrubbers in the short term. A traditional air scrubber requires a central exhaust duct. This can mean a costly and extensive renovation. Sometimes there simply is not room for a central exhaust duct or a traditional air scrubber. Farm Air’s NET-tube air scrubbing system has been specially developed for these situations. By using a compact air scrubber per department, there is no need for a central exhaust duct. The NET-tube can be used both inside and outside the stable. Fans can be installed on top of the NET-tube as well as in front of it. The NET-tubes are centrally controlled with a high-quality control, equipped with all modern techniques and of course with a built-in data logger.

The system is characterized by smart simplicity. Moreover, an additional water treatment can be applied to reduce the amount of waste water. Reduce ammonia emissions by as much as 70%, odor by 45% and 75% particulate matter reduction. The system is certified under number BWL 2007.03. The biological air scrubber works with using a small water reservoir and completely without additives. Farm Air supplies biological air scrubbers complete with an automatic purge functionality and a built-in data logger. The biological air scrubber is available in plastic modules, but the system is also very suitable for realization on site in an allocated space.
