This NEMA 17 stepper motor comes with a pre-mounted rotary encoder. They are sold individually, and do not include any cables.

The rotary tool features a 24 volt DC motor, interchangeable implements, and an adjustable motor angle allowing FarmBot to perform light duty weed whacking, soil surface milling, and drilling operations. The tool magnetically attaches to the FarmBot Genesis UTM with 3 magnets and features tool verification across pins B and C. This tool comes fully pre-assembled and is compatible with Genesis v1.6+ kits. Also included are the drill chuck, drill chuck adapter, shaft extension, and a pack of zip ties for light duty weed whacking. If you have a Genesis v1.2, v1.3, v1.4, or v1.5 kit, we recommend purchasing the v1.6 Upgrade Kit instead, which includes all of the necessary components to have a fully functional rotary tool.
