Erosion and Sediment Control - Silt Fence

Ferguson - Silt Fence

Corrugated Retention and Filtration System (CRAFS) for heavily concentrated runoff. CRAFS is a corrugated retention and filtration system for sediment control in critical spots where there is a heavy concentration of runoff. For example, areas where runoff accumulates and can overflow, knock down, scour beneath, or wash away standard silt fences. Unlike a traditional sediment retention device (SRD), the corrugated design strengthens the system to reduce the chance of failure. Furthermore, it offers more fabric surface area, rapidly filtering seepage through the system. When installed with a silt fence, CRAFS provides a “control outlet” to prevent sediment contamination of adjacent properties and waterways.

Ferguson - Commercial Silt Fence

A commercial silt fence is a temporary device often found on construction sites. It allows water to filter through while holding sediment and other contaminants like trash and debris back. In doing so, silt fences help protect nearby bodies of water from pollutants, especially in construction zones with heavy sediment disturbances. When installing this product, it is critical to consider the height, type of posts, and other fence details. In addition, proper product installation is vital to reduce the risk of failure.

Erosion and Sediment Control - Wattles, Logs, Tubes

Ferguson - Triangular Silt Dike

A Triangular Silt Dike is a lightweight barrier consisting of urethane foam and geotextile fabric. It’s an alternative to rock check dams, bale barriers, silt fences, wire-back silt fences, and straw wattles. This temporary structure stops or slows concentrated water flow across a swale or channel. Ferguson Waterworks carries additional check dam products. This stock includes the Erosion Eel, an environmentally-friendly check dam that utilizes washed shredded rubber for internal fill. Furthermore, both products are reusable.

Ferguson - Erosion Eel

Erosion Eels are an environmentally friendly, low-impact erosion and sediment control device. They enhance water quality and prevent physical degradation of the environment. Civil engineers, landscape architects, and other stormwater professionals use the silt fence for multiple surfaces. For example, place it over soil, asphalt, concrete, or surface rock. Increased flow rates through the filter material as compared to silt fence prevent localized flooding during storm events.

Erosion and Sediment Control - Inlet Protection

Ferguson - Stormwater Curb Inlet Filter

The GeoCurve Stormwater Curb Inlet Filter is a reliable solution. It prevents both sediment and debris from entering storm sewer systems, meanwhile upholding stormwater management requirements (SWPPP). Because of its compression-fit technology, it provides a snug, secure fit within the inlet. Consequently, it is discreet and out of the street.

Ferguson - Highly Effective Curb Inlet Sediment-Control Filter

The GutterEEL is a highly effective curb inlet sediment-control filter. Use it at construction sites to prevent suspended soils from contaminating area streams and wetlands during storm events. GutterEEL is a sediment tube filled with an effective filter ballast material. This material consists of 100% shredded recycled tire rubber. In addition, it is easy to install against curb inlets. Simply place it where needed.

Geosynthetics - Geocells

Ferguson - Geocell

Presto GEOWEB is a proven leader in 3D geocell technology for superior soil stabilization. Utilizing innovative cellular confinement technology, GEOWEB geocell transforms loose soils by confining them within a network of 3D interconnected cells. As a result, the soil resists movement, therefore creating a more stable environment. Furthermore, this highly versatile soil stabilization system is adaptable to various applications. For example, geoengineers and construction professionals implement this geosynthetic solution to stabilize unpaved roads, steep embankments, and other erosion control applications.

Ferguson - Geocell

This geocell’s high-density, polyethylene, three-dimensional matrix of cells impedes the lateral movement of infill materials. For example, angular rock, concrete, and soil.
