Seamless Pressure Vessels

Ton Containers

We design, manufacture, test and mark Ton Containers in compliance with DOT standards. These tubes, used for transportation of smaller quantities of industrial and specialty gases can be serviced at any of our facilities. Like our DOT tubes, these too can be certified in compliance with both the U.S. DOT 3AA specification and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 11120.

DOT Tubes

We design, manufacture, test and mark DOT transportable seamless pressure vessels (tubes) in accordance with the DOT standards. These vessels, used for transportation and hauling high-pressure chemicals and gases, can also be serviced in any of our U.S. facilities making it convenient for companies transporting tubes across the country. These tubes are certified, along with our ton containers, not only in compliance with DOT codes, but also those of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 11120.

Tube Trailers and Skids

Swap Load Skid

The Swap Load Skid has a custom-made framework that allows easy exchange of empty tanks for full tanks using a hook lift or roll-off truck. These trucks are common throughout the United States and readily available. FIBA designed the equipment for industrial gas and construction companies that want to easily move compressed gas product to different locations and avoid costly crane and delivery charges. As you can see, swapping out an empty skid for a full skid takes just a matter of minutes. Note the front hook and the rear wheels installed on the skid for handling by the hook lift truck. Additionally, forklift pockets integrated into each side of the skid’s frame permit another means of moving gas product around the job site. Optional lifting eyes can be installed on the Swap Load Skid if crane lifting is desirable.

Modular Tube Trailers

FIBA offers a variety of modular tube trailer models to accommodate numerous gas types, payloads, and pressures. All equipment is assembled to comply with the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) with regard to Hazardous Materials Safety, Federal Motor Carrier Safety, and National Highway Traffic Safety. We sell and lease our modular tube trailers (which have 18 to 54 tubes) to supply a variety of product volumes. Our modular tube trailer is manufactured in a patented, modular design (U.S. Patent No. 4,784,399; dated 11/15/88) to allow for the Acoustic Emission/Shearwave testing up on the chassis, thus reducing the maintenance costs at the time of retest. FIBA now holds DOT Special Permit 9847, which authorizes Acoustic Emission Testing (AET) of DOT 3A and DOT 3AA tubes. We also hold DOT permits that may qualify the 3A and 3AA conventional tubes on our modular trailer for a requalification cycle of 10 years, rather than 5.

DOT & ASME Assemblies

DOT Ground Storage Tubes

Where on-site requalification can be performed and local regulations permit their use, DOT tubes packaged for ground storage (stationary) application are an attractive, economical alternative to ASME pressure vessels. All FIBA DOT (3T, 3AAX, or UN ISO) ground storage tube assemblies are supplied complete with racks, valves, gauges, pressure relief devices, vents, and manifold to meet the necessary codes. We can design systems to meet seismic, wind and temperature extremes! Just unload our DOT ground storage assemblies from the delivery truck, make your connection to a FIBA tube trailer, fill stanchion, or pressure reducing station (accessories that are supplied by FIBA) and you’re in business! Contact FIBA with your particular payload and pressure requirements and we can design and manufacture a system to meet your needs.
