Filter Tech Systems, Inc. products
AquaStar - Contact Clarifier
The AquaStar was designed to meet the needs of high-quality water for public consumption by treating water that is already relatively good. Key Benefits: Low Cost - Utilizes simple dual-stage system that avoids direct filtration, drastically reducing capital costs. Compact - The effectiveness of the contact flocculation in the first stage allows for a high clarifier flow rate. Efficient - Because the particles are effectively removed from the water, less chemicals are required.
AquaSand Direct Filtration
AquaSand Filtration is typically used for waters determined to be true ground water sources. Key Benefits: Effective - The AquaSand is highly effective in removing iron, manganese and sulfur in addition to particulate matter. Preferred - Easier to maintain and inspect than pressure vessels. AquaAir - The AquaAir system can easily be incorporated in to this model to provide superior cleaning.
AquaAir Air/Water Backwash
AquaAir`s violent scrubbing action loosens and removes bacterial colonies that grow on media. Key Benefits: Saves Money - The AquaAir System reduces the amount of Filtered Water required for backwashing by 36%. Less water to purchase and treat means less money spent. Cleaner Media - The scrubbing action of the AquaAir System cleans the entire bed depth - not just the surface. This reduces mudballs and cementing. Less Time - AquaAir extends the time between backwash cycles.
AquaClear Flocculated Filtration
AquaClear combines either hydraulic flocculation or mechanical flocculation together with filtration, all in a single unit. Key Benefits: Economical - This efficient, economical unit is used where regulatory agencies have mandated the use of chemical coagulation and flocculation and full treatment is unnecessary.Efficient - Excellent process for good, clear surface water sources where the turbidity only rarely rises to levels of 25-30 NTU. Compact - The elimination of the settling basin reduces the floor space required.
