Siltsoxx  is a sediment-trapping device using filtermedia materials applied with a pneumatic blower device or equivalent. Siltsoxx trap sediment by filtering the water passing through the Siltsoxx™ also allowing water to pond, creating a settling of solids behind Siltsoxx.

Inletsoxx are used as a storm drain inlet protection by providing filtration of water and physical barrier that reduces the rate at which sediment-laden water can enter the storm drain. Inlet protection allows construction to continue while protecting storm systems from sediment overloads. Inletsoxx offer unique 3 way filtration, unavailable in most other types of erosion and sediment control devices, by including physical (settling of solids), chemical (some binding of metals and nutrients) and biological (some destruction of harmful substances) filtration from the unique filter media blend contained in the netting materials.

Slope Interruption Soxx are employed on sites which require a reduction in run length to reduce the potential for erosion. These Soxx reduce runoff velocity, dissipating the energy of overland sheet flow. They trap sediment and soluble pollutants by filtering the runoff waters through the Soxx matrix and allow the water to temporarily pond and deposit out suspended solids. Slope Interruption Soxx are installed horizontally across the contours of slopes and perpendicular to sheet flow. Slope Interruption Soxx are effective on steep grades as great as 1:1.

Create a Vegetated Waterway. Use Filtrexx Channel Soxx to replace long runs of rip rap channels used to direct and slow water off steep slopes and outfall areas.

Filtrexx GreenLoxx Wall is a green alternative for retaining walls. The GreenLoxx Wall is a vegetated mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) system. It consists of the integration of a Geogrid, vegetation and a fascia consisting of FilterSoxx filled with Filtrexx GrowthMedia. The GreenLoxx system reduces water pressure behind the wall by absorption through root systems and percolation through the fascia.

Filtrexx Living Walls can be made on site using Filtrexx FilterSoxx and custom filling with a backfill Growthmedia and seed of your choice. The Living Wall is not recommended for load bearing situations. However, it is a excellent choice for stream banks, road sides, parking lot abutments, headwalls for culverts and other areas that offer challenging slopes.

Filtrexx Growthmedia Erosion Control Blankets (GECB) are applications of growth media derived from composted materials and applied with a pneumatic blower device or equivalent that help to reduce or prevent erosion on slopes. GECB’s can be applied in a living(seeded) or non-living form. GrowthMedia Erosion Control Blankets prevent erosion by covering the exposed soil surfaces and keeping the water flowing on/within the blanket material. GECB’s also help increase infiltration and retention of rainwater, which aids in vegetation establishment and storm water management.
