Fiveash - FDM ATR Organics Diamond (1515 spectra)

The FDM ATR Organics Diamond were run on a monolithic diamond ATR crystal. That means superior spectra and superior search results. The FDM ATR Organics Germanium were run on a Germanium ATR crystal to provide transmission-like spectra and to address strong refractive index contributions from functional groups with strong absorbances and to improve the baselines.  There is no other ATR/FTIR library of organic compounds with both diamond and germanium ATR spectra.

FDM ATR Polymers Diamond (1085 spectra)

These libraries of polymer ATR/FTIR spectra are for analyzing polymers, plastics and rubber. The included materials are plasticizers, polymers, copolymers, terpolymers, monomers, and polymer additives. Plastic rod stock and commodity plastic pellets were added for both common resins and engineering plastics. To support rubber analysis we included uses and hardness (durometer) in each spectrum’s chemical name. The FDM ATR Polymers Diamond were run on on a monolithic diamond ATR crystal. The FDM ATR Polymers Germanium were run on a germanium ATR crystal to address the strong refractive index often found in the spectra of compounds such as polysulfides, polysulphones and rubber.

FDM - FTIR Polymers and Polymer Additives

This collection of transmission FTIR spectra is approximately 80% polymer additives and 20% polymers. The polymer additives include plasticizers, catalysts, antioxidants, additives, UV absorbers, stabilizers and other chemicals related to the production of polymer based materials. The polymers include acrylates and methacrylates, cellulose derivatives, common glues, EVA copolymers, nylons, nitriles, polyethylenes, polypropylenes, styrene/butadiene copolymers and other materials.

FDM - FTIR Spectral Database Surfactants

These transmission FTIR spectra of detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers and other materials are for analyzing common surfactants. All of the compounds come with clear, meaningful chemical names recognizable by analytical chemists, research chemists, process engineers and regulators. This database is an excellent tool for any chemist working with surfactants.

FDM - ATR Plastics Kit Spectral Library

This set of libraries is for rapid screening of plastics using infrared spectroscopy. Use it to characterize (1) blended resins, (2) resins and fillers, (3) resins and plasticizers, and (4) resins and polymer additives. Intended for use with the FDM ATR Polymers and other libraries in the FDM ALL ATR Bundle. This library can help you instantly identify simple multi-component plastic materials and it can speed the analysis of more complex materials. Applications include product failure analysis, forensic trace analysis, plastic recycling and microplastic analysis.

This library can help you instantly identify simple multi-component plastic materials and it can speed the analysis of more complex materials. Applications include product failure analysis, foresnsic trace analysis, plastic recycling and microplastic analysis. Infrared spectra and Raman spectra can have much different peak intensities. For instance, the Raman spectrum of poly(acrylonitrile) has a much stronger nitrile peak than the infrared spectrum.
