Our valve technicians are trained in mounting, repairing and servicing valve actuators from a variety of valve actuation manufacturers, including QRTCO, PRATT, Morin, Keystone,  Unitorq, Biffi, Limitorque, Promation Engineering and others.

Flotech and Southern Valve have experienced valve technicians to repair and calibrate control valves from a variety of control valve manufacturers.  Actuators and associated instrumentation are disassembled, inspected, repaired and tested to the manufacturer’s specifications.  New parts are available from inventory. Control valve inspection, repair and rebuilding can be performed at your facility or within one of our east coast service shops.

Flotech specializes in the repair and re-manufacturing of many rotary valve products (Metso | Neles | Jamesbury) for the Paper and Pulp Industry including automated ball, butterfly, relief, control and capping valves.Repairing capping valves back to original tolerances is crucial for safety, trouble free operation of the automated filling of wood chips in the digester and continued service life of the equipment.

Railcar pressure relief valves reduce the number of non-accident releases of tank car commodities during railcar transportation.  Flotech  repairs Midland, McKenzie, Crosby and other relief valves in accordance with- AAR, DOT and the valve manufacturer’s repair guidelines. Flotech repairs the angle, ball and wafer style butterfly valves used during the loading and unloading of railroad tank cars.  Manufacturers include Midland, Jamesbury, Durco and many others. Flotech also repairs Durco Steam Jacketed plug valves at our Class F Registered Facility.

We have decades of experience rebuilding safety valves and pressure relief valves that are tested and certified in our VR facility to factory specifications.

Flotech valve technicians have been repairing Lundberg relief valves at paper mills throughout the US for decades. After noticing major lift problems during installation of the AH Lundberg valves, Flotech designed a Mid-Point Mounting Bracket that distributes the weight evenly during lift.  This allows for a straight lift , easy installation and has become a standard on all Lundberg valves being repaired. Flotech also conducts an Ultrasound Test on the Lift Arms of the Lundbergs to ensure the thickness is agreeable to factory standards and the product poses no additional safety concerns. Flotech released a new version of their customer online safety valve history that will allow customers to access information from any web connected device 24 hours a day, every day. Test reports for specific valves can be accessed by scanning a valve tag with a smartphone.
