Forest-Metrix - Accessible Urban Tree Inventory System (AUTI)
The Accessible Urban Tree Inventory (AUTI) is a project of National Urban Community Forestry Advisory Council, enabling communities in participating states to conduct inventories using a simplified version of Urban Forest Metrix. This AUTI version has been fitted with a simpler primary interface that allows for inventories to be taken, along with UFM’s primary mapping functions and automated reporting. The AUTI system does not have the more complex and obscure features, such as TRAQ risk assessments, appraisals, or the proposal and work order tracking seen in the commercial UFM version elsewhere on the site.
Forest-Metrix - Tree Workflow Software
Workflow management can be made super-simple, allowing for proposal creation and instant sending to the client. Track approvals and, later, work assignments. Even invoices sent based on work noted as done.Chemical treatments can be noted, and even annual government reporting automated. Our Enterprise version can also track and assign work for multiple teams, maximizing throughput. The system is customizable, as no two tree services are quite alike. Organize your company in the way it works best, and Urban Forest Metrix will conform to it.
Forest-Metrix - Tree Map Software
No software ever made making a tree map easier. We managed to eliminate the need to use GIS while remaining compatible with GIS applications. Just click on the map, and the latitude and longitude will automatically enter with accuracy roughly ten times better than average GPS readings. This new technology, called Touch Map, makes geolocation collection and display super simple. When internet/cellular access is not available, you can revert to using the GPS chip in your device. The tree map can be exported in an open file format to a GIS system, a free mobile app, free computer software such as Google Earth, or even be published online on a service such as Google Maps.
Forest-Metrix - Tree Risk Assessment Software
Comprehensive in the Face of the Diverse Needs of Arborists. The ISA’s new TRAQ tree risk assessment system is enormously popular. A survey of thousands of arborists showed that 52 percent used the system or had taken the ISA course. Our software is one of the only ways to digitally manage tree risk assessment analyses, even going so far as to do the calculations for you and the only one to manage changing tree risk assessments over time. If you do TRAQ analyses, you should be using UFM. TRAQ is not the only way to do risk assessments, though, and we do offer other popular methods. These can be customized, and often are, as different people in different regions often use different methods.
Forest-Metrix - Tree Appraisal and Valuation Software
UFM is the most comprehensive app for consulting arborists, including those doing tree appraisal work. The system includes both the trunk formula method and replacement cost methods of valuing trees. It automates the calculations – and can even automatically populate key values such as species ratings when you choose a species by looking up the relevant information from you ISA region’s published set of ratings. The system can be customized to use the trunk formula method, the replacement cost method, or others; in addition to being able to handle customizations required by differences in the formulas and methods applied regionally due to state court precedents.
Land Trusts
Forest-Metrix - Land Trusts Stewardship Fieldwork Software
Have stewards use their own hardware (iPhones, iPads, PCs and Macs) to have the system automatically download the information on the properties to which they are assigned. They can see maps, previous visits and points of interest. They can add new visit records to these points, and add new ones. Stewardship directors can assign specific places or things to check.
