Our clients apply gas scrubbers, gas filters and slug catchers for removal of entrained liquids and/or solids for offshore and onshore facilities. The treated gas can be used as fuel gas, lift gas or export gas. In order to meet stringent process guarantees, we design solutions that enhance the separation performance required for further gas treatment.

Frames offers a wide range of gas sweetening systems and solutions, varying from conventional technologies to our own technologies and various licensed technologies. Being technology and supplier-independent, we always strive to select the best possible solutions. This broad spectrum and our extensive expertise enables us to recommend the most suitable solution or combination for every specific requirement. All of Frames` systems, including Amine, Membrane, Molecular Sieve or Solid Bed Scavenger technology, can be manufactured to your specific specifications and requirements.

Molecular sieve systems are used for removing water, hydrocarbons, H₂S and CO₂ from natural gas and associated gas. In addition to drying gas, molecular sieve systems can be applied for sweetening gas, provided the gas is (almost) dry and contains low concentrations of H₂S and/or CO₂.

Crude oil wells contain oil, gas, water and various contaminants. Frames multiphase separators guarantee adequate separation using state-of-the-art technologies. The various contaminants must be separated before the oil or gas can be sold, and to avoid negative effects on downstream equipment. To remove gas and water from oil, the mixture is passed through multiphase separators. These separators are fitted with Frames proprietary internals, which enhance separation to the required specification.

The SwirlSep is a compact separator and is the combination of a special axial flow valve, the SwirlValve, and an inline separator, both complementary in their advantages. There is a growing demand for more compact and flexible separators that are efficient and cost effective. Our state-of-art SwirlSep technology is a solution that enables customers to boost production and save valuable space and weight in order to reduce costs.

Crude oil contains water and contaminants that need to be removed. Frames Electrostatic Coalescers ensure adequate separation through competitive solutions. Our coalescers improve the economics of transport, limit the requirements of downstream equipment, and prevent negative effects on downstream refining processes. The separation process generally comprises two principles: dehydration and desalting, involving electrostatic coalescers in both upstream and downstream applications. In oilfields, the emphasis is generally on a combination of dehydration and desalting, whereas in refineries the focus is primarily on desalting.

Frames cargo ballasting systems are used to ensure that the ballast in the hull of a floating production platform (FPSO) is distributed evenly so that the facility is always in balance. We provide the controls, valves and actuators as part of a complete control and safeguarding package.

Frames High Integrity Protection Systems (HIPS) play a crucial role in site safety. By automatically bringing dangerous processes to a predictable safe state within a defined safety time, our systems protect site personnel, the general public and the environment, along with valuable production assets. Our HIPS typically use one set of initiators (e.g. voting 2oo3 or 1oo2), a logic solver (controller), and a set of end elements (e.g. valves / pumps) to provide the safeguarding action.

Chemical injection systems are commonly used in production facilities in the oil and gas industry. They prevent or mitigate a wide range of problems that might negatively affect the production flow and/or process completion. Frames designs, manufactures and supplies custom-built injection systems for a wide range of process applications, including production processes, (produced) water treatment, and hydrate control in pipelines and wells.
