PPI isolators provide personal protection when handling toxic substances. Personal protection is achieved through a barrier (isolator housing with gloves) between the operator and the toxic substance. In addition, a defined negative pressure is generated in the working area of the isolator by a HEPA supply and exhaust air filter system, thus increasing safety for the operator. The filter elements are changed without contamination.

LAF downflow booth offer product and personal protection when weighing or sampling powdered substances. These conditions are achieved through targeted air circulation. An unidirectional air flow streams vertically into the work area of the downflow booth and is extracted near the floor – air-borne substances are recorded in a controlled manner.

The Rapid Decon Hatch enables the supply of materials into clean rooms or isolators under aseptic conditions. The material is decontaminated in the hatch by the integrated bio-decontamination system “FZ-BDS 12/60” with vH2O2 (evaporated hydrogen peroxide).

The Glove Testing System (GTS) offered by Franz Ziel is designed to support aseptic processing technologies in isolator and Restricted Access Barrier Systems (RABS) environments. This system facilitates wireless and tubeless leak testing of gloves, which are a critical component in containment barrier systems due to their direct contact with operators during aseptic manipulations. The GTS ensures compliance with the guidelines from Draft Annex 1 by offering a methodology suitable for integrity testing, including both the barrier systems and the glove systems. Implemented with the latest software technology, the GTS provides a flexible solution that is fully integrable as part of glove management. It emphasizes routine and frequent leak testing to maintain system integrity and prevent product contamination. The GTS is available in various configurations including standalone, customer server integration, and autonomous versions to cater to different operational needs.
