Sludge Thickener

The sludge thickener is a machine fitted with a stake and scraper blade structure connected to the central pin that, by rotating in clockwise direction, make the gases present in the water surface and at the same time it allows conveying the debris (sludge, etc.) into the concrete basin, located in the middle of the tank bottom, from where they are extracted by a system (telescopic valve, pump, etc.). The clean water exists through the blade and flows into a discharge channel.

It has the function of supporting appropriate machines and equipment. It is also fitted with a service stair for the inspection and maintenance of said machines.

Sludge Extraction Device from Lagoon Bed

Use of the equipment. The equipment is designed to extract the sludge sediments from sea beds, reclamation channels, channels in general and water basins of any other nature. The sludge is extracted from the bottom in order to avoid putrefaction of the bed, with consequent impoverishment pf oxygen, which is the main cause of the abnormal proliferation of algae and consequent death of the fish fauna in general.

Screens

Rotating Screw Conveyor

The rotating screw conveyor is fitted with a spiral actuated by a motor reduction unit. The spiral is secured to the opposed end by a central hub and is fitted with adjustable supports with threaded bars. An inlet hopper and an outlet hopper ensure proper flow of the material. The screw is designed to collect the material from a screw and carry it to the outlet, where it drops into a storage container. Thanks to the shifting movement, the rotating screw discharges the material evenly on the entire container surface. The rotating screw conveyor can operate both in manual and/or automatic mode, through control from the electrical panel according to the operating needs.

Screw Conveyor

The screw conveyor is fitted with a spiral actuated by a motor reduction unit. The spiral is secured to the opposed end by a central hub and is fitted with adjustable supports with threaded bars. An inlet hopper and an outlet hopper ensure proper flow of the material. The screw is designed to collect the material discharged by a screen or a belt press (thanks to the inlet hopper) and carry it – through the spiral shape itself – to the outlet, where it drops into a storage container. The screw conveyor can operate both in manual and/or automatic mode, through control from the electrical panel according to the operating needs.

Chain Skimmer

The chain skimmer, by the effect of the slow and continuous rotation of the foaming blades, conveys the suspended solids (light material present on the water surface) to a special reinforced concrete tank located on the discharge end of the chain skimmer.

Horizontal Conveyor Belt

The conveyor belt is a machine that by the effect of the rotation of the PVC belt, carries and discharges the material conveyed on the on the same belt in a special container. The belt may be horizontal or inclined according to the needs. The machine is controlled by an electrical panel that allows both “automatic” and “manual” operation according to the needs.

Grit Separator

The grit separator is designed to concentrate the solid materials contained in the water coming, for example, from the collecting sump of a sedimentation tank. The grit separator consists of an inclined metal spiral, where the material to be cleaned arrives through a feeding hopper. Typically, the water containing solid particles to be separated is introduced into the hopper by one or more extraction pumps that operate at interval suitable for the amounts of solids to be removed. In that case, the grit separator is synchronised with the feeding pumps. As the solids are conveyed by the screw upwards, water flows away. Once the screw length has been covered, the concentrated solids are discharged to a container for future disposal. The grit separator can operate both in manual and/or automatic mode, through control from the electrical panel according to the operating needs.

Vertical/Inclined Screen

The vertical/inclined screen is designed to remove the material piled up in channels or water collecting basins. The machine consists of a fixed screen inserted in the bottom thereof, two side shoulders that secure the structure to the reinforced concrete wall and one or more moving screen cleaners (cleaning combs) that have the function of removing the material deposited in the screen bars discharging it to a special container, thanks to the chute and to the cleaning counter comb. The machine is controlled by an electrical panel that allows both “automatic” and “manual” operation. In both cases, there are limit switches and load limiting devices that stop the machine in the event of an emergency. There is also a key switch (with the function of “run – run reversal”) to release the cleaning comb.

Articulated Screen

The articulated screen is a composite machine installed in channels or water collecting basins to remove the material piled up therein. The machine bottom consists of a fixed screen, two side shoulders that secure the structure to the reinforced concrete wall and one moving screen cleaners (cleaning comb) that has the function of removing the material deposited in the screen bars to discharge it to a special container. The main feature of this machine is to have the moving gears (chains, rims, hubs and bearings) not immersed in water. The machine is controlled by an electrical panel that allows both “automatic” and “manual” operation. In both cases, there are limit switches and load limiting devices that stop the machine in the event of an emergency. There is also a key switch (with the function of “run – run reversal”) to release the cleaning comb.
