GAIA Biomaterials - Model Biodolomer F 900480 - Biodegradable Film Material

Biodolomer® F 900480 is an innovative biodegradable biomaterial specifically designed for film blowing applications. It is made from a biodegradable aliphatic-aromatic copolyester (PBAT) and enriched with minerals and plant-based oils. This material is particularly suited for applications that require thin films, such as carrier bags, waste bags, and aprons, offering the potential for significant down gauging. Processing temperatures for Biodolomer® F range between 155 to 175 degrees Celsius, and it performs efficiently on conventional blown film lines. The material can achieve thicknesses as low as 12 micrometers, with typical thicknesses between 18 and 120 micrometers. It also boasts excellent mechanical properties, superior wet strength, and outstanding welding properties, making it ideal for organic waste bag applications. Biodolomer® can be printed using water-based flexo printing. Certified for compostability, it meets the European Union's food contact regulations and leaves no microplastics behind.

GAIA Biomaterials - Model Biodolomer® F 900465 - Biodegradable Biomaterial for Film Blowing Applications

Biodolomer® F 900465 is a biodegradable material engineered specifically for film blowing applications with certification for industrial composting. This biomaterial is a blend of biodegradable aliphatic-aromatic copolyester (PBAT), minerals, and plant-based oils. It is designed to facilitate thin film applications such as fruit and vegetable pouches and inflatable packaging by offering significant potential for down gauging. The material can be processed at temperatures between 150 to 175 degrees Celsius and is compatible with conventional blown film lines, achieving film thickness from 10 µm to 120 µm. Its mechanical properties include excellent wet strength for applications like organic waste bags, strong welding properties, and compatibility with water-based flexo printing. Biodolomer® F 900465 is PLA-free and certified biodegradable at ambient temperatures up to 70 µm, complying with the European food contact legislation under EU Directive 10/2011/EC with the 2023/1442 amendment. The material is provided as lenticular pellets in 1-ton big bags and maintains at least a 12-month shelf life when stored unopened at room temperature.
