Galbraith has the capability to test a wide variety of sample types to detect and quantify most elements listed in the Periodic Table. Approximately 1000 different procedures are used in the analysis of samples, which include organic, inorganic, metal, paper and pulp, coal, water and waste. To provide clients with the most accurate data possible, Galbraith offers multiple method options; state-of-the-art instrumentation; technical, regulatory, and industry-specific expertise; and a comprehensive Quality Assurance program.

Because materials and processes can be defined and controlled using physical properties as well as their elemental or molecular composition, Galbraith provides a wide variety of physical tests. A growing number of these tests are performed each year. Tests are performed in accordance with a wide range of Compendial methods from ASTM, EPA, TAPPI, and USP. In addition, Galbraith provides custom methodology to meet unique testing needs.

Galbraith performs hundreds of monographs and assays annually. Some of these are client-specific, while others come directly from Compendial sources such as ACS, USP/NF, JP, EP, and FCC. Familiarity with these methods makes Galbraith a valuable partner in applying existing procedures to experimental pharmaceuticals or new products. The technical staff always works closely with clients to ensure the use of appropriate procedures at each stage of product development as well as providing continuous quality control support for normal production runs.
