Bioengineering is a newly emerging scientific field which applies engineering tools to genetic, biochemical, bioelectronic, biomaterials and biomechanical systems. Department of Bioengineering at Gebze Institute of Technology, therefore, has a principal goal of bringing solutions to biological problems by employing mathematical & computational techniques. Our department does not have an active education program yet, and has its focus currently on scientific research.

Chemical Engineering is an engineering discipline focuses on chemical and physical transformations. Mission of a chemical engineer is to design,  establish,  develop and even manage chemical processes which are needs of society by considering economical and environmental affects and using existing resourses optimally. Nowadays chemical engineering discipline is rapidly developing and frequently take place in inderdiciplanary researches. GYTE Chemical Engineering  department submits high quality education and research opportunities to the students  both for graduates and doctorates.

Computer science is one of the most active research and development fields in the world. This high level of activity shapes the infrastructure, as well as the education and research programs in the Department of Computer Engineering at GIT. The Department of Computer Engineering aims to initiate and pursue research at the cutting edge of computer science and technology both at the theoretical and application levels. On the theoretical side, the department focuses on algorithms, programming languages, information security and encryption issues; while on the application side, client - server systems, electronic commerce, databases, software development, interface design, security applications, system design and industrial process control are emphasized.
