The irradiator exposure unit is controlled via a Windows based GammaCal™ software system, its main features include:

Lead shielded steel casing and heavy-duty steel pedestal. Tungsten fail-safe Gamma Irradiator shutter unit. Multi-ring Tungsten/lead collimator. Multi-source Gamma cassette with motor driven spindle assembly. Bolt on Americium Irradiator exposure unit. Size of Gamma Irradiator exposure unit can be re-calculated to meet the source requirements of the customer.

The control unit provides switching and control to enable manual and automatic operation of the facility (CAT. 3). The source can only be exposed when the access key from the Castell door lock is in the control unit. Windows control software to allow automatic control of the facility.
