Westcappers
Genesis - Westcapper
The Industry Standard in Capping for Parenteral Vials. The RW Westcapper is a fully automated, constant motion, rotary capper equipped with a six, twelve or eighteen spindle head, a circular hardened rail section, and Allen-Bradley controls.
Genesis - Fully Automated Westcapper
The NPW-575 Westcapper is a fully automated capper using 3 spinning rollers as the sealing mechanism. The hoppering system uses a gravity fed vibratory bowl. As the starwheel indexes, the stoppered vials pass under the cap feed, pick a cap and vials progress to the sealing area. The adjustable spring loaded vial rest and a fixed pressure block compress the stopper while the skirt of the cap is reformed under the locking finish of the vial. The three spinning rollers roll the skirt into place. The starwheel now indexes the vial onto the discharge conveyor. Vial flow is from left to right. Rolling casters are standard, with stationary legs available as an option. Depending on vial size, the capper has a maximum variable speed of 120 vials per minute. The OSHA compliant safety enclosure is wired to alarm and shut down the capper whenever it is opened during operation.
Genesis - Fully Automated Westcapper
The PW-500 Westcapper is a fully automated capper using 3 spinning rollers as the sealing mechanism. The outer skin of the PW-500 is made of aluminum. The hoppering system uses a turning disk to select caps and transfer them to the chute and the cap feed.
Hand & Benchtop Crimpers
Genesis - Laboratory Crimper
The Genesis FWA Laboratory Crimper is a small hand operated crimper for laboratory use. The FWA accommodates vials up to 4.25″ diameter and 8″ high. The improved sealing head is interchangeable for caps from 11mm to 43mm in diameter.
Genesis - Laboratory Crimper
The LW is ideal for laboratory, pilot-plant, and manufacturing pharmacy operations. Intended for runs of a few hundred units the LW is a versatile capper that features rapid setup and changeover, and can be operated with little operator fatigue. Maintenance requirements are minimal and do not require a trained mechanic.
Residual Seal Force Tester
Genesis - Residual Seal Force Tester
The function of the Residual Seal Force Tester is to evaluate seal tightness by measuring the Residual Seal Force in the stopper/seal combination created as a result of the sealing process. The Genesis Residual Seal Force Tester measures residual seal forces in pharmaceutical vials sealed with stoppers or lined seals and aluminum caps. The aluminum caps can be plain aluminum caps, or aluminum caps with plastic buttons though it is highly recommended that the plastic buttons be removed prior to testing. Other cap materials and styles may be accommodated as specialty applications.
Vial Inspection Platform
Genesis - Vial Inspection Platform
The Genesis Vial Inspection Platform is designed to be added either prior to or after existing capping operations to achieve additional inspection criteria. It has a main star wheel and a discharge star wheel so that non conforming product can be rejected without human intervention before the vial picks an aluminum seal. When placed in front of the existing capping equipment, it can be used to test for single or multiple attributes such as raised stopper detection, head space analysis or the presence of moisture using near IR technology. When integrated after the capping process, the Genesis VIP can be used to apply and verify lot numbers or other identifying features or could again be used as a platform for testing analysis. The VIP is designed to easily integrate with all forms of Westcappers as well as most other commonly used capping machines.
Laboratory Vial Crimpers
Automated Laboratory Vial Crimper
The Integra Laboratory Crimper is a small vial crimper that is ideal for development, pre-clinical, clinical, pilot and compounding pharmacy operations. Available in four configurations the Integra can meet your small batch size needs assuring the best possible seal integrity.
Genesis Air Crimp - Semi-Automatic Handheld Tool Used for Crimping and De-Capping Metal Seals
The Genesis Air Crimp™ 1000 is a semi-automatic handheld tool used for crimping and de-capping metal seals on glass and plastic vials. This tool is simple in operation and utilizes air assist, operating at low pressures. This system includes a pressure gauge and air line and can accommodate a wide variety of seals through interchangeable “K” capping and de-capping heads. Various accessories are available for custom configurations. The Air Crimp 1000 is normally operated on compressed air. It can also be operated on compressed gases such as nitrogen if the vials must be filled in a special atmosphere.
Firmpress Hand Crimpers
Inexpensive, rugged yet lightweight, firmpress hand-held units are easy to operate. Manufactured of solid steel with stainless steel capping heads, firmpress Crimpers provide a secure, lasting crimp. Crimpers and de-crimpers are separate devices and are available from stock in standard sizes. For special size needs, please send samples of vials, caps and stoppers for evaluation.
