Ex-Situ Thermal Remediation
GTR-E is an evolution of the GTR line of technology specially designed for batch ex-situ thermal desorption of onsite excavated soils. The contaminated soils are excavated and placed in a pile. While building the pile, heater tubes are layered following a "lasagna" process: a first series of heater tubes are placed atop a first layer of contaminated soil, and then covered by a new layer of contaminated soil, wherein the process is scaled as necessary for the project"s goals. In a standard design, piles are 60 feet long and 10 feet high, and the volume of the soil to be treated determines the final width of the pile.In-Situ Thermal Desorption
With over 8 million tons of soil treated and 20 years of experience in six countries, GEO Inc is a leader in thermal remediation. The combination of this expertise is GTR, the smartest and most energy efficient technology for in-situ thermal desorption. GTR can treat all organic contaminants (hydrocarbons, PAHs, PCBs, chlorinated solvents, dioxins, pesticides, etc...) as well as some inorganic pollutants (cyanides, mercury), in all soil types and fractured bedrocks. The scalability of our technology makes it available for both small and large area sites. In-situ treatments under existing buildings or on-site batch treatments of excavated soil are routinely performed. Most project durations are measured in weeks, not years. Treatments are often performed during real estate escrow periods.Drilling & Site Services
Environmental Drilling Services
GEO is a California licensed C-57 Well Driller. GEO provides limited access environmental drilling and remediation well installation services. With its customized man portable auger / hollow stem auger drill rig, GEO is able to drill in some of the most limited access locations. GEO`s limited access drill rigs have installed soil vapor extraction wells, monitoring wells and thermal remediation wells at demanding project locations.
Site Services
GEO provides operations, maintenance and site management services at environmental remediation projects. GEO is experienced in operating common remedial technologies such as soil vapor extraction, dual- and multiple-phase extraction, groundwater pump & treat, and air sparging and vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
