Geotextile
GEOFABRICS Bidim - Model C - Conductive Non-Woven Geotextile for Leak Detection
Bidim C is a breakthrough in the field of geomembrane leak detection, being the first commercial conductive non-woven geotextile. Crafted in Australia, this product integrates a carbon-derived conductive layer that spans the surface, providing exceptional electrical performance. Fabricated from a blend of virgin and high-quality recycled PET, or entirely from virgin PET upon request, Bidim C is invaluable for applications that require precise and economical leak detection in geomembrane systems such as those found in landfills, tailing dams, and water storage facilities. Its ability to support Arc testing for leak detection eliminates the need for water, marking a significant improvement over conventional methods. This makes it especially suitable for dual lining applications, where it is used beneath primary liners and above geocomposite layers. Compliance with ASTM Standard D7953, Bidim C can function effectively at voltages as low as 1kV, making it a leading choice for accurate and reliable leak detection solutions.
GEOFABRICS Bidim - Bidim Green Non-Woven Geotextile for Engineering Applications
Bidim Green is a robust, non-woven geotextile produced from a blend of recycled PET and virgin plastic materials, designed for various engineering applications requiring filtration, separation, and drainage solutions. Manufactured in Australia to meet ISO9001:2015 standards, it caters to the infrastructure sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Its bi-dimensional strength ensures uniform performance in both directions, making it ideal for road and rail construction projects, embankment stabilization, and landfill lining. Functioning as an efficient drainage component, it supports subsoil drainage systems and protects critical infrastructure by preventing soil migration and contamination. Additionally, it serves in disaster prevention and stormwater management applications. Bidim Green’s three-dimensional structure offers superior water flow, exceeding the permeability of most natural surrounding materials, and supports the structural integrity of soft and unstable grounds.
GEOGRID
GEOFABRICS Geogrid - Biaxial for Pavement and Subgrade Stabilisation
Geofabrics' Geogrid Biaxial is a high-strength geogrid designed specifically for pavement and subgrade stabilization applications. Constructed from rigid polypropylene, this product offers dual-directional load support, ideal for enhancing the confinement of aggregate and minimizing rutting in road construction projects. Its open aperture design allows for interlocking with various fill materials, optimizing soil stability and confinement. Used in Mechanical Stabilised Layers, it effectively distributes loads across expansive areas. Installation is straightforward, as it can be placed directly over prepared subgrades. It offers a robust solution for infrastructure projects, including roadways and railways, by reinforcing steep slopes and bridging potential voids beneath load-bearing layers. Geofabrics provides comprehensive technical support and design tools to ensure safe and cost-effective implementation across diverse engineering challenges.
GEOFABRICS GlasGrid - Asphalt Geogrid for Reflective Cracking Control
GlasGrid asphalt geogrids are engineered to mitigate reflective cracking in asphalt overlays used in crucial infrastructure like roads, bridges, and car parks. The system consists of a high-strength reinforcement grid made from fiberglass strands, coated with an elastomeric polymer and configured into a grid. This structure exhibits exceptionally high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity, making it substantially stronger than steel by weight. Designed to be sandwiched between the levelling and surface courses of asphalt, it redistributes crack stresses horizontally, effectively slowing the propagation of cracks to the surface. Its self-adhesive nature simplifies the installation process, enabling fast application. This reinforcement geogrid is ideal for applications involving asphalt sealing and reinforcement, stabilising road or rail construction over weak soils, and allowing for steeper embankment constructions. By fortifying the system against thermal and stress-induced cracking, GlasGrid considerably extends the lifespan of asphalt overlays.
