Geoscience Testing Laboratory services

Geoscience Testing Laboratory (GTL) provides geotechnical investigation (Surface and Subsurface explorations) services to architects, developers, consultants and contractors. These investigations are performed to guide the consultants and the designers in designing the suitable type of the foundations or to provide general information regarding the subsurface conditions. The surface exploration includes geologic mapping, geophysical methods and photogrammetry. Subsurface exploration usually involves drilling of boreholes up to the required depth and collecting samples for further laboratory tests.

The Construction Material Division offers Physical and mechanical analysis of wide range of materials used by the construction and its allied industry.The testings are carried out as per the International Standards and specifications as defined in BS, ASTM, BS EN, AASHTO, CIRIA, DIN, ISO etc. In certain cases, the tests can also be performed in accordance with the customer specified test methods or procedure.

The Chemical Division of the laboratory provides chemical testing services divided broadly into Material Tests, Environmental Tests and Microbiological Tests.

The Microbiology department offers specialised microbiological analysis for a wide range of products and materials including food, water, air, consumer goods, personal care products etc. Microbiological analysis are carried out to determine the amount of micro-organisms present which guide the manufacturers and suppliers regarding the suitability of the product for the intended end use. This will also ensure that relevant statutory requirements are fulfilled for the specified usage of the product.

GTL provides Halal assurance to industry and consumers. The tests will work on the principle of identity preservation, where all ingredients can be traced back to their source, maintaining supply chain integrity making its halal certification more robust and credible
