The main activity of business unit Mining is environmentally compliant and economically sustainable exploration, extraction and processing of mineral and metal raw materials. Three companies, which belong to the GEOTECHMIN group, provide various services in the field of mining consultancy and engineering in Bulgaria. Among others, these include: geological, engineering-geological and hydrogeological surveys and drillings; evaluation of reserves and resources; design, construction and modernization of various mining facilities; development and application of new mining technologies; mine blasting; quarrying, processing and trading of lining materials; mining environmental restoration projects.

Construction is a priority activity for GEOTECHMIN. The group specializes in civil, industrial and environmental engineering in Bulgaria. GEOTECHMIN has proven experience in: construction of buildings and facilities in the mining and electric power industries – crushing plants, flotation facilities, electrical power plants, tunnels and pipelines; ecological engineering – water-supply and wastewater treatment systems, drainage facilities and waste landfills; design and construction of infrastructural sites; design and construction of residential and office buildings.

One of GEOTECHMIN`s business units with high priority is Infrastructure. The development of this sphere of activity is entrusted to several companies which are engaged in: construction, repair and maintenance of roads, road facilities and communication networks; construction and reconstruction of tramways and railroads; design and construction of street lighting. In the long run the prospects for development of this business unit are related to more active participation in strategic infrastructural projects.

The GEOTECHMIN group performs design, construction, interior planning and management of its own real estate. The construction and renovation of tourist sites are among the main activities of this business unit. Examples of such projects are Hotel Complex Glazne in Bansko built in 1998 and Hotel Skalite in Belogradchik entirely renovated in 2008. Business unit Real Estate and Investment Projects is constantly making efforts for development of new profitable activities.
