Gexcon AS software
GexCon - Explosion Modelling Software
FLACS is the industry standard for CFD explosion modelling and one of the best-validated tools for modelling flammable and toxic releases in the technical safety context.
GexCon - Consequence Modelling Tool
FRED is Shell`s consequence modelling tool, available exclusively through Gexcon. The FRED software gathers in one tool state-of-the-art Fire, Release, Explosion and Dispersion models that predict consequences of accidental and design releases of products from process, storage, transport and distribution operations.
GexCon Shepherd - Quantitative Risk Analysis Tool (QRA)
Shepherd is Shell’s quantitative risk analysis (QRA) tool, available exclusively through Gexcon. Shepherd is a risk management software tool, tailored to do risk analysis for onshore facilities and operations. It allows fast and reliable prediction of the risk related to incidents such as releases of flammable or toxic fluid, fires and explosions. Shepherd has been continuously developed and validated by Shell since the 1990s, and has been extensively used by oil, gas and petrochemical operating companies, engineering contractors, insurers and regulators throughout the world.
Shell - Pre-Incident Planning Tool
PIPA is Shell’s pre-incident planning tool, available exclusively through Gexcon. PIPA quickly and easily provides plant operators and safety engineers with hazard consequence assessment information, to assist them in the development of emergency response plans and the specification of fire protection requirements. PIPA can be used for development of effective emergency plans for any proposed design and to highlight aspects that may need modification. PIPA can output full emergency response plans including hazards, protection requirements and justifications.
