Broadband Light Meters, UV-VIS-NIR Radiometers - Modular Light Meters

Gigahertz - Handheld Optometer with USB Interface

The X11 optometer is one of the most versatile hand-held light measurement instruments available. It combines a powerful electronic design packaged in a light-weight ergonomic housing. Its compact size makes it ideal for field service applications. A unique feature of the X11 is its capability to operate detector heads housing up to four photodiodes with all four signals displayed on the four line display with on/off backlighting. When more than one detector head is used simple and faultless selection of the calibration data is accomplished using the X1’s menu mode.

Spectral Light Meters, UV-VIS-NIR Spectroradiometers - Spectral Light Meters for Photometric and Colorimetric Measurements

Gigahertz - Compact and Handheld Spectral Light Meter

LEDs enable much greater control of the lighting quality than the technologies they are rapidly replacing. Many international standards now specify requirements for internal and external lighting systems in terms of both ‘quality’ and ‘quantity’ of light as well as in terms of efficiency and life time. Photometry in the lighting industry generally focuses on the intensity (i.e. illuminance) and color (i.e. correlated color temperature CCT and color rendering index CRI) of light falling on a surface. LED lamps are extremely versatile in terms of emission spectra, which is why spectral measurement of the illuminance and color has now become essential for any high-end light meters.

High Accuracy Flicker Meter and General Lighting Spectral Luxmeter

Traditional lux meters are increasingly being replaced by spectral light meters such as the MSC15However, the lighting industry also needs high accuracy spectral light meters that can handle more complex measurements. These include measurement of pulse width modulated light and the ability to measure both internal and external illumination, determination of thermal transient behavior of lamps, and so on. The primary criterion that such meters must always meet is the quality of their photometric features. Additional electronic features may improve usability and display quality, but they cannot compensate for substandard measurement results. Manufacturers of lamps and luminaires for general lighting purposes must consider light flicker when qualifying product safety in terms of EMC immunity requirements. In addition to the influence of mains voltage fluctuations, flicker effects caused by the lamp and the luminaire itself must be taken into account.

Compact and Cost Effective Spectral Light Detector for Conventional and Led Lighting

Some light measurement applications require the light sensor to be installed within a measurement system or operated remotely. Industrial applications often require integration with PLC systems. Continuous and remote operation requires light measurement sensors to be robust. For such tasks, Gigahertz-Optik offers the compact spectral light sensor CSS-45. It is a precise spectroradiometer covering the wavelength range 360 nm to 830 nm.

Spectrophotometers - Portable Spectrophotometers for Light Transmission

Gigahertz - Light Transmission Meter for Mobile and Stationary Use

Light transmission is the visually sensed light permeability of materials. It is particularly important when it comes to specification of window panes on all types of vehicles, display sheets and disks as well as all the other samples whose transmission is assessed with the photometric responsivity (V(λ)) of the human eye.

Integrating Spheres - Integrating Sphere Construction Kit

Gigahertz - Hollow Sphere

Hollow sphere with Ø 100 mm for the construction of integrating balls -  version with flange and barium sulfate coating. The modular integrating sphere concept from Gigahertz-Optik offers a high flexibility level when it comes to individual configuration of integrating spheres. In addition to the various components such as port frames, baffles and sockets that can be directly mounted onto the integrating sphere, numerous other accessories are offered for configuration of application-ready integrating spheres and integrating sphere measurement systems.

Uniform Light Sources, Luminance Standards - Uniform Light Sources with Continous Emission Spectrum

Gigahertz - Integrating Sphere Light Sources

Integrating Sphere Light Sources are used as luminance, and spectral radiance calibration standards as well as Uniform Light Sources for pixel uniformity calibration of imaging detectors and instruments.

Uniform Light Sources, Luminance Standards - LED Uniform Light Sources

Gigahertz - Integrating Sphere Light Source for Pixel Matching of Compact Wide Angle Cameras

Integrating sphere light sources provide a luminous field with very good uniformity of the luminance or radiance distribution. Hence they are commonly referred to as Uniform Light Sources. One of their main uses is the pixel sensitivity adjustment of digital image sensors and cameras. In photographic technology this is known as white balance. As part of the adjustment, sensitivity differences of individual pixels or pixel groupings are detected and corrected by uniform illumination of all the pixels. To detect possible linearity errors, white balance is performed at different intensities.

Reflectance Materials and Coatings - ODM98 Synthetic White Diffuse Material

Gigahertz - Diffuse Reflective Synthetic Material

Diffuse reflective synthetic material in blocks for subsequent processing. Raw ODM98 blocks can be used for machining small size integrating sphere inserts, integrating sphere baffles, tubes, laser cavities, and other high reflectance parts. For cost effectiveness the size of the raw block should be as close as possible to the maximum dimensions of the final product. Custom size blocks can be ordered for larger quantity OEM orders. Custom size blocks are not available for prototypes or in small quantities. For small quantity orders Gigahertz-Optik stocks different size standard blocks for fast delivery. Contact our sales department to discuss your raw block requirements. Note: Raw block surfaces must be machined to an optical finish.

Calibration Standards - Spectral Irradiance / Illuminance Calibration Standards

Gigahertz - Calibration Standard Lamp

Calibration standards enable the calibration and comparison of measurement instruments to absolute measurement quantities. Calibration standards provide a reference signal corresponding to the measurement quantity to be calibrated. The reference signal of the calibration standard is calibrated in the respective measurement quantity. The calibration of the measurement instrument is performed by comparing the measurement signal of the measurement device with the standard specifications in the calibration certificate. Deviations are compensated for by adjusting the measurement instrument accordingly.
