BIOMIC V3 automates the reading and interpretation of broth microdilution plates* for human and veterinary labs. This improves the accuracy, speed and standardization of reading. An enlarged plate image is instantly displayed on screen with well results and interpretations. BIOMIC V3 reads turbidity, color, and UV wells with brightfield and darkfield lighting. Results and images are saved automatically and can be printed or sent via LIS/LIMS.  Plate images can be captured using a top camera reader (larger unit with monitor) and bottom camera reader (smaller unit).

The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System provides automated reading, interpreting, and expert review of CLSI or EUCAST antibiotic disk diffusion (Kirby-Bauer) tests on 90-150mm plates. This greatly improves accuracy, speed, and standardization of testing. An enlarged plate image with antibiotic disks and zone diameter reading is displayed with the option to adjust on-screen by the user. Test results and high resolution images are saved automatically and may be printed or sent to your lab`s LIS/LIMS.

BIOMIC V3 automates the reading and interpretation of all varieties of Etest (bioMerieux). This greatly improves the speed, accuracy and standardization of reading. An enlarged plate image with the Etest strip(s) and MIC value is displayed and confirmed on-screen by the user. Automated Etest code recognition confirms the correct Etests are placed and interpreted on the plate. A combination of Etests and disks may be read on 90mm or 150mm plates. Results may be transferred to your lab’s LIS/LIMS. High resolution Etest images are saved for future review.

An enlarged plate image with the MIC Test Strip(s) and MIC value is displayed and confirmed on-screen by the user. Automated code recognition confirms the correct strips are placed and interpreted on the plate. A combination of strips and disks may be read on 90mm or 150mm plates. Test results and images are saved automatically and can be printed or sent via LIS/LIMS.

This greatly improves accuracy, speed, and standardization of testing. An enlarged API panel image is instantly displayed on-screen with +/- well readings and automatic organism identification look-up. Readings may be adjusted by the user. Test results and high resolution images are saved automatically and can be printed or sent via LIS/LIMS. API QC reading and recording is also included.
