WindDisplay - Wind Speed Indicator

Gill wind displays are designed for use with our range of two-axis wind speed and direction sensors. Displays are available in two formats - standard and nautical, both with bright LED display panels for clear representation of wind data.

MaxiMet Marine - Compact Weather Stations

MaxiMet compact weather stations are well established in marine applications. MaxiMet Marine GMX260 and GMX560 take this to another level, with all the benefits of MaxiMet plus key additional features to increase performance in demanding marine environments.

Gill WindSonic - Wind Speed and Direction Sensors

Gill WindSonic 60 is a low-cost anemometer, which utilises Gill’s proven ultrasonic technology to provide wind speed and direction data via one serial or two analogue outputs. To confirm correct operation, outputs are transmitted together with an instrument status code. WindSonic is WMO-compliant for gust measurement. With a robust, corrosion-free polycarbonate housing, this small, lightweight wind sensor is recommended for use in harsh environmental conditions and is particularly suited to marine & offshore (ships, data buoys) and land based installations. WindSonic anemometers have no moving parts, offering maintenance-free operation in a wide range of applications.

Gill WindSonic - Wind Speed and Direction Sensors

Gill WindSonic 75 is a low-cost, high speed anemometer, which utilises Gill’s proven ultrasonic technology to provide wind speed and direction data via one serial or two analogue outputs.

Gill MaxiMet - Compact Weather Station for Heat Stress Monitoring

Heat stress risks are real to health, safety and productivity. Approximately half of the global population is suffering adverse consequences. From workers on construction sites to farmers to athletes to the military in training, rising global temperatures are creating new dangers. And occupational heat action plans require accurate understanding and measurement of the environment. With the MaxiMet® GMX552, we step in with the quality, precision and performance we’re known for. MaxiMet® GMX552 incorporates heat stress measurement into a highly reliable integrated weather station with on-board calculation of WBGT (wet bulb globe temperature), the index for heat stress.

Ultrasonic Anemometers & Wind Sensors

WindSonic - Ultrasonic Wind Sensor

WindSonic M is a robust ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor with aluminium alloy construction and optional heating system. The sensor is solid-state with no moving parts, using ultrasonic measurement technology to detect wind speed and direction at speeds up to 60m/s (134mph).The robust aluminium alloy housing is hard-anodised to ensure suitability in harsh marine environments, and the optional heating system allows operation down to -40ºC.

WindSonic - Low Cost Ultrasonic Wind Sensor

WindSonic is a robust, low cost ultrasonic wind sensor with no moving parts. This 2-axis ultrasonic wind sensor offers maintenance-free wind speed and direction monitoring for true ‘fit and forget’ wind sensing. The Gill WindSonic is a genuine low cost alternative to conventional cup and vane or propeller wind sensors, with all of the advantages of solid-state ultrasonic technology. With no moving parts to jam, break or wear out, this ultrasonic wind sensor is ideal for use in harsh weather condition.WindSonic is a 2-axis ultrasonic wind sensor, providing wind speed and direction data via one serial or two analogue outputs. To confirm correct operation, wind sensor outputs are transmitted together with an instrumentation status code.

WindObserver - Wind Speed Sensor

The WindObserver II wind speed sensor is an ultrasonic 2-axis anemometer for the measurement of wind speed and direction. With no moving parts this wind speed sensor is ideal for use in extreme environments. The WindObserver II utilises the same high-performance measurement technology as the Gill WindSonic wind speed sensor, with some additional features to extend the application potential of the sensor. The WindObserver II wind speed sensor has a high 0-65m/s wind speed measurement range, optional high temperature de-icing system (which extends the operational temperature range to –55ºC), sonic temperature output and averaging.

WindObserver - Wind Speed Sensor

The Gill WindObserver 65 is a precision, solid-state ultrasonic anemometer providing wind speed and direction data via 1 digital and 3 optional analogue outputs and features an IP66 rated stainless steel housing, which is particularly suitable for use in salt-water environments.Offering a high wind speed measurement range, this anemometer has an optional de-icing system enabling the sensor to operate effectively in environmental conditions experienced at high altitude or at sea and is recommended for use in aviation, marine and offshore applications.

WindObserver - Heated Anemometer

The WindObserver 70 is a solid state, heated ultrasonic anemometer designed for use within the aviation industry. The sensor has been accepted for service by both the FAA Federal Aviation Administration (USA) and the CAA Civil Aviation Authority (UK) for the observation and reporting of surface wind. This WindObserver meets the requirements of Annex 3 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) when supplied as part of a suitable AWOS*.
