RBC or Biodisc is a simple and reliable unit for reducing the BOD by biodegradation, and for nitrifying civil and industrial waste. They provide high efficiency performance in eliminating the polluting matters, for carbon removal and nitrification/denitrification processes. The use of biodiscs offers a remarkable saving of space, minimizing the environmental impact and simplifying plant management. Energy consumption is drastically reduced when compared to traditional processes.

The Cellvation technology consists of an innovative integration of dynamic fine-sieving as a primary stage of wastewater treatment, to enhance the STP, while recovering a marketable cellulose. In particular, starting from raw wastewater, there are sections for sand removal, cellulose washing and technological compartments such as a rotating belt screen and a screw press. With the Cellvation process it is possible to remove most of the contaminants and produce a sellable cellulose called Recell. Recell can be used also for the production of additives for the composition of asphalt, bioplastic formation and insulating material.

The machine consists of one or more filtering discs, fixed on a robust central drum. The waste water flows through the central drum and then is transferred into the centre of each media panel. A quick and efficient backwashing system starts automatically once the prefixed level of water is reached. The modular design as well as the possibility to use different kinds of filtering elements (stainless steel or polyester), allow to satisfy the highest filtration requirements. Each disc can be easily replaced in a matter of seconds, simply by loosening the locking screws. The panels can be easily and fast removed with no need of emptying the tank or disassemble the filter.

The process of Thermal Hydrolysis is not only both a process for reducing the volume of sludge and to reduce its disposal costs, but also a process of enhancing the value of the final product. With thermal hydrolysis, in fact, the complete elimination of pathogens is achieved, with the sanitization of the sludge, while its dehydratability is increased. A significant increase in biogas production in the subsequent digestion stage and a reduction in digester volume by thermal destruction of organic biomass are also achievable.
