Controls

Glas-Col - Basic Control System

PL120: This control is small in size and can be used to regulate the input voltage of resistive devices by turning the dial knob.  Just plug your resistive load into the receptacle on the back, turn on the switch and adjust the dial. The higher the number on the dial, the hotter your load will get. This unit comes with a 6’ attached power cord and lattice support bracket, which is ideal for fume hood mounting to maximize bench space.

Advanced temperature controls use a feedback sensor to maintain the setpoint temperature.  Glas-Col offers several types of laboratory controls for various process loads.  In addition we can customize controls for larger process systems. Evaporators

Glas-Col - Nitrongen Blow-Down Evaporator

Reducing the disruptive capacity of solvent drying-off processes is critical for laboratory applications, particularly for high-throughput laboratories. Nitrogen blow-down method is often preferable for high-throughput evaporation for well plates and test vials.

  • Includes heating of the vials, Ni gas
  • Polyprop manifold with lure locks
  • Removable needles and flow meter
  • All systems except 96 well format include a metal insert to hold vials in place.
  • Temperature range to 100°C

Glas-Col - Advanced Nitrogen Blow-Down Evaporator

Conventional evaporator components such as fume hoods and centrifugal evaporators are often used in these instances, but the nitrogen blow-down method is often preferable for high-throughput evaporation for well plates and test vials.

  • Metal manifold with metal luer locks
  • Available in 24 or 48 position manifolds
  • Microscope stand for precision adjustment

Glassware

Glas-Col - Pestles and Tubes

Sample grinding is designed to disrupt cell or tissue samples.  It utilizes a shearing action by forcing the material between the side wall where homogenization occurs. Homogenization with a mortar and pestle is a low-throughput method, used most often for relatively small batches.

Glovebags

Glas-Col - Single Sleeve Glovebag Chamber

Self contained chamber with one opening in the front between two integral gloves.  Great when working with air or moisture sensitive materials.

Glas-Col - Dual Sleeve Chamber

Dual equipment sleeves one on each side. These equipment entrance sleeves are 12" wide and are positioned away from the user.
