The EIC is proud to be organising and managing the UK Group at Rio Oil & Gas taking place from 24-27 September 2018. South America’s largest economy, Brazil remains one of the most important players in the oil and gas sector. The country’s massive oil reserves and the frequent offshore oil discoveries made in the coveted pre-salt province make Brazil an attractive destination for IOCs around the world.
OSEA is the most established oil and gas industry event in Asia. OSEA has evolved over 40 years by keeping up with industry needs and delivering content that is most sought after by trade professionals. Backed by strong support from the industry, OSEA has consistently attracted high level of international participation.
This conference, to be held in Bristol 10th July 2018, will provide an opportunity to discuss the equipment supply, technologies and service models required to support the industry in this new environment.
In the first session, Experiences from conducted projects, we address some of the most interesting and challenging projects /operations that recently have been conducted. What are the experiences from these projects and the lessons to be learned? What can these examples tell us about the subsea industry’s cap?
The underwater vehicle market operates in a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, offshore renewables, marine science, aquaculture, deep-sea mining and defence.
The marine, offshore and subsea energy industry continues to evolve creating new challenges and risks for the safety, integrity and reliability of its structures and systems. For example, wells are being drilled at greater depths, pressures and temperatures, requiring enhanced assessment of the integrity of structures and systems in such extreme conditions. There is a push to expand operations into new locations such as the Arctic, where environmental and operational conditions are considerably harsher. Many assets in the North Sea are rapidly reaching or have already exceeded their original design life and safe but affordable life extension and decommissioning are becoming major objectives.
An excellent course – this was NEL’s first group to undergo the course and following its success and positive feedback from those that attended I would like to send a second group and also explore the possibility of the course being run at NEL’s main facilities based in East Kilbride."
