Is uptime, regular calibration intervals and low costs of ownership important parameters for you, then a GRAS maintenance agreement might be the right solution for you. All our maintenance agreements are customized to fulfill your needs. Many customers have a combined agreement consisting of repair service as well as calibration on a regular basis. We also offer calibration administration of your products, including automatic recall of your equipment. If you would like to learn more about our maintenance agreements, please contact our local partner in your area here.
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Services
RMA stands for Return Merchandise Authorization and helps GRAS to understand why equipment is shipped back to us and, at the same time, provides you as our customer with a faster response time and more efficient service of your product. All items sent to our Global Repair and Calibration Service must carry an RMA number. When creating an RMA number, you can easily manage orders, check the current status of an RMA order, obtain price estimates as well as automatically get the paperwork done to ship items.
Calibration Service
Traceable Calibration Services
All GRAS microphones are calibrated as an integral part of our quality assurance. This calibration is traceable to the Danish National Metrology Institute, also known as DFM. It is performed by specially-trained GRAS personnel under controlled conditions and according to established procedures and standards. We also offer traceable calibration as an after-sales service. This is the same rigorous calibration that we do in the final stage of our quality assurance for any new piece of equipment. New as well as re-calibrated equipment is delivered with up-to-date calibration information on individual calibration charts or extended calibration certificates stating sensitivity, frequency response and environmental calibration conditions.
Accredited Calibration Services
We offer this service through our Accredited Calibration Laboratory, which has been accredited by DANAK, the internationally recognized Danish Accreditation Fund. The accreditation is your guarantee that our laboratory, competence, methods and record keeping comply with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Pre-calibration Services
If needed, a pre-calibration of your GRAS equipment can be performed. This is useful when the user wants to document the equipment´s performance before service or repair of the unit. The pre-calibration data is valuable when the user suspects that there might be something wrong with the equipment which has already been used for measurements. Finally, this data can be used for making post-measurement corrections of the results. After service or repair of the unit, a traceable or accredited calibration must be made.
