Chromium, zinc, copper, lead, cadmium and mercury are among the most common metal contaminants found on clean-up sites. Remotox precipitates these highly soluble metals as less soluble, less toxic metal sulfides. Chrome (VI) is reduced to chrome (III) which then precipitates as a hydroxide.
