Training Programs - Courses
201 Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting
Many organizations are starting to think about how to manage their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for a number of reasons: to minimize their impact on the planet, to prepare for regulation and address evolving disclosure requirements, to increase energy efficiency and/or to build their profile as an environmental leader.
202 Basics of Project-Level GHG Accounting
This training course will cover the basics of GHG accounting for projects. The course material is based on ISO 14064: Part 2 GHG Standard for Projects and the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol for Projects. A personal ISO 14064: Part 2 license is issued to each learner as part of this course.
211 GHG Information Management Systems
This course will introduce fundamental concepts and processes for a GHG IMS in a project management framework from the early planning stages through system deployment. The purpose and objective of this course is to explain the fundamental concepts and processes for a GHG IMS, including project planning, identifying important organizational attributes and associated data to be monitored and measured, identifying critical GHG IMS functionality, translating those requirements to an overall GHG IMS design and strategies for implementation and deployment.
302 GHG Accounting for Forest Projects
This course provides in-depth training on the process of GHG accounting at the project level for forest-based activities including reforestation, forest management and avoided deforestation projects. The course provides a step-by-step process of understanding and undertaking project-level GHG accounting for forest projects based on the processes of ISO 14064-2 and the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol for Projects. The course provides a universal and comprehensive understanding of accounting requirements consistent with ISO 14064-2 and other GHG programs such as CDM.
312 GHG Accounting for Coalmine Methane Projects
This course will train experts in preparing inventories and emission reduction projects for coalmine methane sites.
