Water Network Monitoring
Permanent (or fixed) network monitoring means deploying sensors (loggers) permanently in your water distribution network. The sensors continuously collect information about the pipe network and automatically send leak alarms to your control center for actioning. Correlating Radio Logger
The correlating sensors from GUTERMANN are arguably the most advanced, robust and best performing on the market. They record the sound frequency spectrum and allow to correlate between the different loggers in the kit. You can (i) avoid false positives by filtering out non-leak noise sources, and (ii) pinpoint the exact location of leaks using correlation and cross-correlation techniques between loggers. There are three standard applications for the correlating sensors: Lift & Shift mode to find quiet leaks or perform sectoral overnight leakage surveys to log the constant ambient noise levels and identify and pinpoint leaks. Drive-by mode for permanent or periodical deployment and daily to weekly collection of the data in a drive-by survey. On-site leak detection during the day without logging noise levels but with correlation and automated spectrum analysis for effective leak pinpointing (mainly MULTISCAN).

Water Leak Noise Correlators
Correlators are powerful electronic devices to locate leaks on pressured pipes, where the rough location of the leak is unknown and the distances relatively high. Two (or more) sensors are placed in contact with the pipe on both sides of the suspected leak. Those sensors record and transmit the sound by radio to the processing unit. Mathematical algorythms are used to determine the exact location of certain noise profiles (such as hissing leak sound) on the pipe, by correlating the noises that reach both sensors and measuring the difference it takes to travel on the pipe from the leak location to each sensor.
