Single-variety plastics with electrostatic Separators hamos EKS With hamos EKS electrostatic separators, you can separate plastic mixtures into their components in a dry process. hamos EKS separators can also be used to separate unwanted plastic impurities. By utilising the tribo-electric behaviour of the individual plastics, the hamos EKS separates your mixed materials into unmixed fractions with little effort. This allows you to recover valuable raw materials for new, high-quality products from mixed plastic waste.

hamos - Electrostatic Separator For Metal Separation From Plastics

Separating metal from plastic using electrostatic separation hamos KWS electrostatic separator is used for the dry separation of metals from plastics and other non-conductive materials. Even the finest metal particles smaller than 0.1 mm can be separated by electrostatic separation. This is a particularly economical way of recovering valuable metals, separating them or cleaning plastics before further processing of metal parts using electrostatic separation.

hamos - Electrostatic Minerals Separators

Electrostatic mineral separators for unmixed fractions. hamos KMS electrostatic mineral separators sort heavy mineral sands economically and with good separation results into unmixed fractions. The dry process utilises the differences in the conductivity of the minerals for separation. Desired components can be concentrated or unwanted foreign substances separated from sands containing heavy minerals (e.g. ilmenite, rutile or zircon sands) and other suitable sand mixtures.

The hamos RSS elastomer separator is used for the dry separation of rubber and other elastomers from plastic regrind. The hamos RSS was developed to produce high-quality plastic regrind such as PP, PS and ABS as a largely rubber-free fraction in a dry process.

hamos - Recycling Systems - Preparation of PVC Window Profiles

Economical recycling of PVC window profile sections in and old windows. The hamos WRS window recycling system is specially designed for the economical recycling of PVC window profile sections and old PVC windows and consists of a combination of hamos EKS electrostatic plastic separators and opto-electronic colour sorting devices. hamos EKS electrostatic separators are used to separate practically all seals (rubber, soft PVC, etc.) from shredded and dedusted PVC window sections. To further increase purity and/or improve the degree of whiteness, opto-electronic colour sorters are installed downstream. By combining these two processes, PVC purities of over 99.99 % can be achieved.

Complete system for the recovery of high-quality, unmixed WEEE plastics. hamos supplies a complete system for the recovery of high-quality, unmixed plastics from difficult-to-separate plastic mixtures: With the hamos KRS recycling system, clean plastics can be produced from electronic scrap or car shredder residues. ABS, PS and PP fractions with high purities can be produced. The recycling of electronic scrap (WEEE - Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) or car shredder residues (ASR) produces large quantities of mixed plastics. The recyclable materials they contain, such as ABS, PS and PP, are contaminated with foreign plastics, wood, elastomers and metals to such an extent that further processing is not possible without additional treatment.

hamos HS electronic all-metal separators serve for detection and fully-automatic removal of individually arising metallic contamination in free-falling, free-flowing bulk materials. Not only are metals containing iron (ferrous metals) recognised here, but also non-ferrous metals such as, e.g. aluminium, copper, brass, etc.The result is a practically metal-free product.hamos HS all-metal separators protect products, machines and tools from damage through metal contamination, surely, reliably and cost effectively.

hamos - Metal Separators for Pneumatic Conveying Lines

The hamos FFS series electronic all-metal separators recognise and remove metal particles from bulk materials that are transported in vacuum and pressure conveying lines. The metal recognition and separation takes place `on the fly` with conveying speeds at up to 30 m/s. Special mechanical separation systems are used, depending on the type of conveying (pressure or vacuum conveying, continuous or intermittent). The conveying pressure is maintained during the entire metal separation process.Apart from ferrous metals, hamos FFS separators recognise and remove all non-ferrous metals. Products, machines and tools therefore are surely, reliably and cost effectively protected from damage through metal contamination. 

hamos - Last Chance Metal Separators

Electronic all-metal separators of the hamos LCS ("Last Chance Separator") series are used especially in plastics processing with slow moving or "stationary" material columns. They offer the last chance of detecting damaging metal parts and removing them fully automatically, before these disappear into the intakes of extruders or injection moulding machines. Not only are ferrous metals detected, but also non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, brass etc. Damage to extruder screws and tools or blockage of hot runner systems are therefore reliably prevented. The stabile and extremely strong housing of the hamos LCS separators can also be used for mounting of mixers, driers and small conveying equipment.
