Harbauer - Waste Gas Catalysis Processing System

Waste gas catalytic processing makes it possible to clean up contaminated areas which formerly used to be left polluted or whose cleanup proved to be too costly. Where the soil is contaminated with vinyl chloride, catalytic combustion plants are the only way to remove the pollutants. As a first step, the raw gas is preheated in a recuperator (air-air heat exchanger) before being heated up to the required reaction temperature by an electric heating or a gas burner. In the subsequent unit, the catalytic reactor, the pollutants are subjected to oxidation which converts chlorinated hydrocarbons into water, carbon dioxide and hydrogen chloride.

Harbauer - Removes Arsenic Process System

Unlike the more complex precipitation and flocculation methods or the rather expensive ion-exchange technique with its limited selectivity for pentavalent arsenic, Harbauer presents a new and intriguingly simple adsorption technique for the removal of arsenic from ground and drinking water. Its practical application resembles that of the conventional wet activated carbon technique. The configuration is easy to install as it consists only of an upstream gravel filter and two AdsorpAs-filled adsorption containers through which the water is passed continuously.

Harbauer - Removal of Iron and Manganese

Groundwater often contains soluble ferrous and manganous compounds which, when getting in contact with air, oxidize and convert into insoluble compounds (oxides, hydroxides). These may disturb processes such as reseepage by choking up infiltration wells, or interfere with other conditioning or treatment processes.

Harbauer - Soil Air Exhaustion Plants

For the cleanup of contaminated areas, HARBAUER offers soil air exhaustion plants supplementing the operation of water purification equipment. This highly effective technique is used in combination with waste air purification methods wherever it is necessary to clean up the soil at the waterlogged level while preserving existing streets and buildings.

Harbauer - Desorption Process System

Desorption is a particularly advantageous process, as the contaminant is passed from the liquid phase into the gas phase. The contaminated outlet air is then cost-efficiently subjected to an additional treatment in a separate purification stage. For the removal of pollutants, the contaminated water is passed downwards through a packed column. While ambient air which usually is free from pollutants flows in countercurrent from the bottom of the column upwards to the top, the contaminants pass from the liquid phase into the gas Phase.

Harbauer - Iron Removal Process System

Groundwater often contains soluble ferrous and manganous compounds which, when getting in contact with air, oxidize and convert into insoluble compounds (oxides, hydroxides). These may disturb processes such as seepage by choking up infiltration wells, or interfere with other conditioning or treatment processes.

Harbauer - Chamber Filter Press

Sludge with lower viscosity is produced in a multitude of processes e.g. municipal wastewater treatment, lake decontamination, various flocculation processes and industrial water treatment as well as food and beverage industry. The sludge needs to be disposed of, which necessitates sludge drainage.

Harbauer - Wet Activated Carbon

Adsorption by wet activated carbon takes advantage of the large surface of activated carbon which, depending upon the type of carbon concerned, is between 400 and 1600 m²/g. As the contaminated water flows through the activated carbon bed, the contaminants attach to its surface, a process known as adsorption.

Harbauer - Heavy Metals Precipitation

For the removal of heavy metals several treatment processes are combined. The metals are first concentrated in an ion exchanger which is reactivated after its capacity is exhausted. The resulting eluate is passed to a multistage waste water treatment plant where the first step is to add the appropriate precipitants and carry out pH adjustment.
