Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia. People may get infected when they breathe in tiny water droplets (aerosols) or droplet nuclei (particles left after the water has evaporated), which are contaminated with elevated concentrations of legionella bacteria.

Any building constructed before 2000 should have an Asbestos Management Survey. A comprehensive Type 2 Asbestos Survey is also valid if the asbestos survey was carried out before the introduction of HSG264 in 2010. 

As the name suggests, an Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition Survey is required prior to any refurbishment or demolition of pre-2000 buildings.

Often referred to as ‘Asbestos Re-Inspection’, there is a requirement under The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012) to regularly assess the condition of any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) that remain in your buildings.
