Sintered metal mesh filter cartridge is the cylindrical filter element made of sintered wire mesh. These filter cartridges mostly use standard 5 layer sintered wire mesh as the filter media. All square weave sintered wire mesh is also used in cartridges which need high permeability and flow rating. Comparing to non-metallic and ordinary wire mesh filter cartridges, sintered metal mesh filter cartridge is superior in: fixed and stable pore size under high temperature and pressure suitable for temperature applications higher than 300 degree Celsius washable and reusable all welded structure, no risk of failure of spot welding or adhesive self-support, easy to form cartridge

Big size sintered mesh filter tube screen are often made of sintered wire mesh with perforated metal sheet. They are the filter elements of automatic self-cleaning filter, for applications of ballast water treatment, cooling water filtration, and other high flow liquid filtration. Hastelloy nickel based sintered mesh are often used for severely corrosive working conditions in these applications.

Sintered metal mesh filter disc plates are the disc shape filter elements made of sintered wire mesh screen and support plate or frame. Sintered mesh filter disc can be disc plate assembly or monoblock. The sintered wire mesh can be welded with the frame plate sections. Then sections are assembled with bolts as a disc plate assembly. While in monoblock, the sintered wire mesh is whether welded or sintered with the whole disc support plate frame then welded with flange as disc assembly. Sintered metal mesh filer disc plate is most used in agitated nutsche filter / dryer, as the bottom filter screen. The disc plate catch the solids and form the filter cake, while the liquid is passed through and flow out.  In other applications, the filter disc may used as air diffuser. The air flow through the sintered mesh and dry or motivate the solids on the disc.

Pleated wire mesh filter cartridges are made of pleated wire cloth filter media. Multi-layers of wire mesh are spot welded and then pleated and pressed. The pleats are welded by two ends to form the cartridge body. Then the hardware (end fitting, adapter) is welded with the body. The filtration layer is often wrapped in the middle of inner and outer protection layer. Extra transition layer may be added beneath the filtration layer for protection if it is supper fine and subject to deformation and damage. Inner support tube and outer protection sleeve are optional depending on the pressure condition of working and backwashing.

Cylindrical wire mesh filter cartridges are an economical alternative to sintered wire mesh filter cartridge for filtration applications with mild condition and larger micron rating. The wire cloth tube is overlap welded to form the filter body by resistance welding process, whether spot welding or roll spot welding depending on request. 316  (1.4401), 316L (1.4404), 304, 304L  stainless steel are the among the standard material for cylindrical mesh filter cartridges. Other exotic materials are also available as request, such as 310S, 904L, Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Monel 400, Inconel 625, etc. The hardware / end fitting material can be different with the wire mesh.

Other type of wire mesh filter elements with welding, punching, pleating or stamping process can be customized, such as wire mesh extruder screen pack, pleated wire mesh filter disc,  stamped wire mesh filter, wire mesh filter cone, wire mesh filter basket, and others. 316  (1.4401), 316L (1.4404), 304, 304L  stainless steel are the among the standard material for wire mesh filter elements. Other exotic materials are also available as request, such as 310S, 904L, Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22 etc.
