A high-pressure pump with 3 pressure elements for handling system pressures of up to 2,400 bar, with a delivery rate of up to 15 l/min (1 pump) or 30 l/min (redundant operation with 2 pumps). It is installed using flanges or on a base.

Heinzmann - Rail Pressure Limiting Valve
Pressure is limited; only a temporary safety function is provided. The engine must be stopped. Primarily the Rail Pressure Limiting Valves (RPLV) are designed to protect common rail equipment against overpressure. Differing to RPLV-1S the 2S-version additionally offers the important limphome function. After opening due to overpressure RPLV-2S works as a rail pressure control valve and keeps up some holding pressure under any system conditions even without risk of overheating. This provides high reliability and ensures engine running.

Pressure is limited, then reduced to the holding pressure (“limp home”). Primarily the Rail Pressure Limiting Valves (RPLV) are designed to protect common rail equipment against overpressure. Differing to RPLV-1S the 2S-version additionally offers the important limp- home function. After opening due to overpressure RPLV-2S works as a rail pressure control valve and keeps up some holding pressure under any system conditions even without risk of overheating. This provides high reliability and ensures engine running.
