Weather Monitoring System

HekaBot - Barometric Pressure Sensor

The HB0-BP-01 is a barometric pressure sensor designed primarily for environmental and weather monitoring systems. It integrates Bosch’s advanced piezo-resistive pressure sensor technology, known for its high accuracy, long-term stability, and strong EMC robustness. The unit operates in a range of 300 to 1100 hPa with an operating voltage between 9V to 35V, and interfaces via Modbus RTU (RS-485). With an average current consumption of 2.74 μA and average measurement time of 5.5 milliseconds under ultra-low power mode, it offers flexibility in optimizing power consumption and performance. Its high resolution of 0.18 Pa facilitates precise applications such as floor level detection, achieving a relative accuracy of ±0.12 hPa or ±1 meter in altitude. The sensor is effective in environments with temperature coefficients of 1.5 Pa/K, equivalent to 12.6 cm/K. Installation supports both stand and wall mounting, making it adaptable for various WMS setups. Shielded, twisted pair cables are recommended for wiring to minimize interference in EMC-prone environments.

HekaBot - Temperature and Humidity Sensor for Environmental Monitoring

The HB0-TH-01 temperature and humidity sensor is designed for precise environmental and weather monitoring. It is capable of measuring ambient temperature and relative humidity and is suitable for both stand and wall mounting within various weather monitoring systems. It uses Modbus RTU (RS-485) communication with multiple baud rates supported, ensuring versatile integration into existing systems. The sensor operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and a humidity range of 0% RH to 100% RH, with high accuracy and reproducibility. The device includes features such as reverse polarity protection and bus termination. Proper cable management and the use of shielded cables in electrically noisy environments are necessary to minimize interference. Long-term stability is ensured with minimal drift, making it reliable for extended use, with specified response times for both temperature and humidity measurements. SELV transformers are required for safe operation, aligned with local safety regulations and considering power consumption for transformer sizing.
