HEPACO`s Emergency Response division was created to effectively manage incidents for both public and private sector clients. HEPACO also developed a `Major Incident Strike Team` (MIST) to effectively manage catastrophic incidents. Our MIST has mobilized through our Response Ready Program throughout the United States and the Caribbean on a moment`s notice. Our Response Ready Program is a computerized and integrated resources tracking and scheduling system that ensures our preparedness for major incidents.

In the post 9/11 world, vigilant preparedness has become a way of life for those who face the reality of a terrorist threat. HEPACO works in partnership with our valued clients to prepare for any such threat or event. Clients who provide goods or services critical to our country’s infrastructure must continue to operate, no matter what the circumstances. We understand that today’s efforts to prepare may make the difference in tomorrow’s ability to survive.

HEPACO offers cost-effective solutions for environmental remediation, using both long-established methods and state-of-the-art technologies. The work is performed by trained HEPACO personnel in accordance with our standard operating guidelines, which comply with regulatory requirements and ensure safe working conditions throughout all phases of a project.

One of our missions is to “focus on environmental responsibility as a company and as individuals by raising awareness inside the organization as well as in the community.” HEPACO focuses its Consulting and Training services toward meeting this objective with both internal and external customers. The team assembled to provide consultative environmental, geological, and training services is second to none in this industry. The staff of professionals at HEPACO includes geologists, scientists, and experts of various other disciplines. The consulting team handles Phase I, II, and III site assessments; installation of monitoring wells; sampling; and preparation of response plans as well as the Response Ready program. The training team handles normal compliance training on EPA, DOT, and OSHA-required courses, as well as conducts preparedness exercises, mock scenarios, table top spill drills, and other client-specific training.

HEPACO`s Industrial Services personnel are experienced in a wide variety of in-plant services. Our people make the difference. Their `hands-on` field experience, coupled with HEPACO`s state-of-the-art equipment, affords our customers cost-effective and efficient service, which puts them back into production expediently and safely. HEPACO owns and operates a fleet of liquid ring vacuum trucks, King Vacs, and high volume air movers such as `Guzzlers.`

HEPACO provides a full complement of hazardous waste management services, either in conjunction with remediation project work or as the primary work scope. We offer complete capabilities from unknown identification through packaging, transportation, and treatment/disposal. Our waste handling experience spans tank cleanouts, lagoon cleanouts, drum removals, waste repackaging, and lab packing. Lab packs are packaged in accordance with the disposal facilities` lab pack protocols. HEPACO personnel perform most of our on-site hazardous waste management functions while our network of qualified, permitted suppliers provide transportation, treatment, or disposal costs when permitting and regulatory requirements allow such treatment. Examples of our on-site treatment capabilities include temporary waste water treatment plant erection/operations and soils/waste stabilization and fixation.

HEPACO provides diagnostic and remedial services for defining and addressing a wide variety of indoor air quality problems. This field of environmental concern has actually been recognized for quite some time; however, actual remediation is a relatively new emerging technology. Some states are considering legislation addressing indoor air quality, and a very few have already enacted limited laws (e.g., New Jersey). With our understanding of indoor air quality sources and building systems, HEPACO has the capability and experience to address and resolve the majority of indoor air quality problems.

HEPACO`s Abatement Services division pioneered the asbestos and lead abatement industry.
