The EWS series Herbold single-shaft shredder is a further development of the standard HR series shredders for high throughputs and difficult tasks.

Due to a large working surface of the rotor, the machine has an excellent ingestion performance and is appropriate for materials that could only be fed in batches with traditional shredders, such as big-bags or large voluminous containers. The shredding of the material to a uniform and constant granular size is determined by the selection of the screen. Contrary to the conventional two-shaft shredders without screen, no long stripes will arise. The shredder is appropriate for dry or wet operation.

The Herbold single-shaft shredder 60/210 is the next generation of the shredder series EWS for high throughputs; appropriate for dry or wet size reduction.

The Herbold guillotine was developed for the processing of bales of fibres, tapes, multifilaments, fishing nets, adhering films and large lumps or rubber bales. A hydraulically operated knife cuts the bales or lumps into slices of adjustable thickness.

The HGM series granulators have been developed for the size reduction of difficult, especially tough material or material containing foreign bodies, for which normal granulators have too short a knife life, and conventional shredders cannot produce the required end-product. Low-speed granulators – the right technology for shredding in the recycling industry.

The SML series includes machines for normal, everyday applications in the plastics processing industry, besides the injection or blow moulding machine as the central granulator for larger parts, as edge trim cutters and for many more application possibilities. Grinders in the SML series can be supplied with rotors from 220 to 800 millimetres in diameter, a working width from 300 to 1450 millimetres and drive performances from 5.5 to 160 kilowatts.

Grinders in the SML LS series minimise the amount of ultra-fine particles in the grinding stock thanks to their lower rotational speed and significantly reduce noise levels. Ideally suited to applications directly at the injection moulding machine.

The SMS models are machines for particularly demanding applications: the size reduction of heavy lumps, tough fibres, extremely thin films or simply very large amounts of material.

The SMP series for the processing of profiles and pipes. These are self-feeding machines with a horizontal feed hopper for bars measuring six metres or more in length. An additional inlet for short pieces and mitre offcuts is available.

The SMR series is designed for the processing of large pipes made of PP, PE, PVC and other materials. Heavy-duty granulators with rotor diameters from 320 to 1600 millimetres and 15 to 300 kilowatt motors, with horizontal feed troughs. The feed trough is filled with the pipes to be granulated and then closed hydraulically. A mechanical control operated in accordance with the power consumption of the main motor ensures the optimum loading of the machine.
