Alongside the manufacture of standard cables in accordance with national and international standards, HEW-KABEL’s strength lies particularly in the development and production of special cables that ensure customer satisfaction due to the best qualities even under extreme conditions. Due to high vertical integration (including in-house wire mill, galvanizer, bunch stranding), as well as through special patented manufacturing processes (PTFE taping, Micaflame technology, heating cable technology), HEW-KABEL is able to offer individual, customized solutions. Our customers come from different sectors and the product specific requirements for our cables are accordingly diverse. Irrespective of the requirements – temperature resistance from -273 °C to + 1550 °C, the minimization of weight, chemical resistance of the cable or an extraordinary mechanical load capacity.

The classical tasks required for heating lines are frost protection, temperature increase and maintaining of the temperature. Modern connection systems simplify the use of electrical heating systems at pipes and containers – even within zones exposed to explosion hazards. The constant development of new wire and insulation materials allows exact adjustments to be made for temperature and corrosion resistance. Fluropolymers such as PTFE, PFA and FEP combine both of these features in an almost perfect balance with temperature resistance up to 300 °C and excellent chemical resistance. The use of silicone ensures a high level of flexibility up to an operating temperature of 180 °C.
