Thermosiphon Heaters
Hotstart - Thermosiphon Heating System
HOTSTART’s TPS thermosiphon heating system is a coolant preheater, developed to maintain optimal temperatures for diesel and gas engines in stationary land power, marine, construction equipment, and truck applications. Depend on consistent, reliable heating with the proven design of the TPS Thermosiphon heater. Heated coolant rises through the engine block, maintaining critical fluid temperatures for easy engine starts when needed. The TPS can be configured for almost any weather-protected application. Multiple options and voltages are available, including UL/C-US listed and CE-compliant models. The heater`s inlet and outlet positions allow for quick and simple installations, reducing complicated plumbing requirements. Each heater comes with a mounting kit for optimized installations.
Hotstart - Thermosiphon Heating Systems
Made from pressure die-cast aluminum tanks, HOTSTART’s CB series of heaters are the compact, heavy-duty solution for heating your diesel or gas engine. Featuring a built-in high-limit thermostat, optional flow-through control thermostat and multiple heat power and voltage options, original engine manufacturers around the world choose this line of heater for its combination of dependability, versatility and safety.
HOTflow Forced Circulation Heater
HOTflow - Engine Heater
Despite its small footprint, efficient forced circulation allows the HOTflow® CTM system to heat engines up to 20 liters in displacement, allowing for a wide variety of weather-protected small engine applications. Multiple options are available, including UL/C-US listed and CE-compliant models. The CTM’s inlet and outlet may be reoriented at 90° increments to accommodate heater plumbing. The included mounting kit is ideal for most installations; an optional vibration isolation kit is also available. Forced circulation provides uniform heat throughout the engine, reducing component maintenance and offering significant energy savings - resulting in end-user utility cost reductions up to 35%*. *Savings are dependent on local utility rates and installation variables.
HOTflow - Engine Heater
The CKM model heater is designed to be a true drop-in replacement for legacy convection-based systems. Featuring a mechanically-driven pump and a custom-designed pump volute mated to a stainless-steel tank, the CKM retains similar dimensions and options to convection systems. It can also be installed vertically or horizontally, making the upgrade to an efficient forced circulation system quick and easy. Designed for an extended operating life and peace of mind, the CKM offers access to all major operating components and includes a built-in air bleed screw and resettable high-limit thermostat.
Forced Circulation - Coolant
Hotstart - Coolant Heating System Hazardous Location
HOTSTART’s CSE (UL C/US listed; Class 1, Div. 2, Group D, T3 or Class 1, Zone 2, Group IIA T3 depending on configuration) is a compact coolant heating system for use in North American hazardous locations and is designed to maintain optimal engine starting temperatures for gas compression or offshore equipment applications. To improve equipment startability and availability, the CSE maintains a consistent and uniform temperature by circulating heated coolant throughout the engine block – eliminating hot spots and preventing overheating at engine shutdown.
Hotstart - Coolant Heating System Hazardous Location
HOTSTART’s CSA is an IECEx/ATEX-certified compact coolant heating system for use in hazardous locations and is designed to maintain optimal engine starting temperatures for gas compression or offshore equipment applications. To improve equipment startability and availability, the CSA maintains a consistent and uniform temperature by circulating heated coolant throughout the engine block – eliminating hot spots and preventing overheating at engine shutdown.
Diesel-Driven Heaters
Hotstart - Idle Reduction Heating System
The HOTSTART Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) heating system is a self-contained water/coolant and oil preheater for locomotive prime movers. Utilizing an efficient Tier 4 Final engine, the APU consumes only a fraction of the fuel an idling locomotive uses while providing heat via four heat exchange points and a built-in tank heater – a total of 19 kW of total heating power supplied to the locomotive, lube oil and optional operator cab heater. The APU also supplies 80 amps of battery charging via a heavy-duty alternator. Designed from the ground up to work seamlessly with a locomotive’s day-to-day operations, the APU includes an easy-to-use operator interface, automatic operation, and integration capability with AESS systems.
