Humes AVK Air valves are designed for generating better flow and system efficiency in water and sewer applications.  They allow for the release of air when the pipe is being filled and the release of air accumulating under pressure during normal working conditions without loss of water.

Humes and AVK`s range of mechanical pipe couplings assures corrosion protection and provides an effective method for connecting pipes with equal or unequal diameters.  Couplings are ideal for joining two pipe ends together and are predominantly used in maintenance situations where a burst or damaged pipeline is repaired by a cut-out and replace method.

Humes offers valves for specialist applications including Knife Gates, Penstocks and some higher size (>450mm) Butterfly and Swing Check Valves

Humes AVK Check valves (also known as reflux, non-return, back pressure and retaining valves) are designed to permit flow in one direction and to prevent it in the reverse direction.  Humes offers a wide range of AVK check valves including ball checks with internal thread and flanges, resilient/metal setaed disc, with/without lever, weight and limit switch, recoil non slam and large diameter.

Humes VT Pipes are manufactured in Auckland using an advanced vertical casting process which provides a faster rate of production.

Humes PVC pipes (pressure and non pressure) are for use in water and waste water infrastructure pipelines.

Manufactured in Hastings and Christchurch, Humes’ spun pipe making process provides a high degree of flexibility, making it economical to make small quantities or special design pipes.

Humes PE lined pipes are designed for use in gravity sewer applications. The PE lined pipe incorporates a patented anchor system for a longer design life.
