The valve lock (V-Lock-Patented) device limits access to in- ground valves in your water distribution system. The valve lock device is designed to fit on the 2″ operating nut on the valve, and remains in place on the valve until it is removed to gain access with a valve wrench.

The unique CUSTODIAN® HYDRANT LOCK is custom-made to fit your hydrant. This Lock attaches easily and directly on the operating nut, without any disassembly regardless of make, model or style. The free-spinning, armored housing completely protects the hydrant`s operating nut, and only authorized personnel with the specially designed magnetic key wrench can lift the activator lock to open the hydrant. (Ordinary magnet devices have no effect on activation).These Hydrant Locks are built tough! Ordinary "protective collars" or "mechanical devices" CANNOT dissuade a determined vandal. These unique METER PLUG LOCKS fit angle valves and curb stops in .75″, 1″ and 1.25″ sizes so you can effectively stop unauthorized access to gas or water resources when it becomes necessary to remove a meter. METER PLUG LOCKS are constructed of stainless steel to prevent rusting and corrosion. Using the special wrench shown, simply thread in the METER PLUG LOCK until it recesses. This eliminates any protruding surface to attack. The bore of the plug is of a special shape so that the METER PLUG LOCK can only be removed with the wrench.

The HYDRA-SHIELD® SECURITY CAP is forged from high strength alloy steel, machined, and then heat-treated and quenched to a 58-62 Rockwell “C” hardness. It is virtually impossible to crack or cut and impenetrable to drills. Because there are no opposing faces, no ordinary wrench can grip it. Even if a water thief uses a large pipe wrench, strap wrench or band wrench, only the slip ring will turn.

Hydra-Shields fire truck valve grease is a high grade quality grease that gets the job done. This inlet fire truck valve grease is white in color and is used to maintenance the Pre-Con inlet fire truck valve to make sure its operation runs smooth and accurately.

Our Heavy Duty Custodian® is the ultimate in hydrant security. The operation is similar to the regular Custodian® but in an oversize configuration with thicker walls for instances that require increased protection.

The Dome Lock (Patented) is designed to provide a cost effective means to secure your hydrant system. It attaches directly to the hydrant operating nut and the free-spinning dome prevents access to the hydrant operating nut. Due to the design of the Dome Lock, it can be used on almost all hydrant models. The special security wrench fits the security plug in the dome and is used in the installation and removal of the dome.

NYLON HYDRANT C APS are only 25% the weight of cast iron caps, yet they withstand normal hydrant operating pressure and resist permanent deformation under stress. Standard stocked cap sizes with NST threads are made for 2.5", 4", and 4.5" hydrant outlets. Custom threads are available in all sizes.

Extended-life STAINLESS STEEL OPERATING NUTS from Hydra-Shield® can replace old and worn brass hydrant operating nuts.  And if you are installing CUSTODIAN® hydrant locks in your system, our operating nuts are available already drilled and tapped for your convenience.
