Hydro-Carbon Filtration & Separation products
Filtration of Liquids and Gasses
Hydro-Carbon - Process Sour Water Filter Housing
Filtration systems are essential to the success of your operation. Each time you incorporate new products into your process, you must be confident they will be compatible with your overall system, will perform consistently under stringent demands, will hold up to constant use and, most importantly, will do the job right… the first time and every time. Whether you have a small or large application, Hydro-Carbon Filtration & Separation offers a variety of filtration systems. These systems, consisting of vessels and internals, are used extensively in the chemical processing, food processing, paint, pharmaceutical, photo-processing and virtually any other industry. The product line includes also replacement cartridges to improve the efficiency and/or the economics for existing housings.
Hydro - Cyclone Liquid Solid Separator
The Hydro-Carbon Filtration & Separation liquid – solids cyclones from the series LSC are designed for the removal of relative course solids from low viscosity liquids.
Separation of Water
Hydro-Carbon - Vertical Single Stage Liquid Filter Water Separator
The Hydro-Carbon series vertical HFC single stage liquid filter water separators are specially designed for the removal of free and emulsified water from hydrocarbons or hydrocarbons from water in some applications. A single stage filter separator should be used where less efficient water and solids removal is required or where the processed fluid is not compatible with the second stage separator cartridge. Typical applications are the removal of gross water at an intermediate process stage prior to further refinement.
Hydro-Carbon - Gas Coalescers
Series GC gas coalescers is a unique two-stage filtering concept for use on air and gas streams requiring both solids and liquids removal. By combining the principals of impingement baffling with the most efficient filtration and coalescing cartridge designs, the GC series will remove virtually all entrained water and hydrocarbons in free, fog or mist form. Any solids larger than one micrometer will be removed from the stream at the same time. The flow enters the inlet where the impingement baffle removes solids and some entrained liquids, they collect in the quiescent sump. Mist and minute solids flow up to the coalescer cartridges where the oil and water are coalesced and the solids removed. The flow through the coalescer cartridge is inside to outside. Solids remain in the coalescer cartridges and coalesced water and oil fall by gravity to the cartridge mounting plate. The stream then flows through the centre pipe to the outlet of the vessel. Result: a clean and dry gas!
Hydro-Carbon - Repack Coalescers & Demisters Liquid Separators
The Hydro-Carbon Filtration & Separation liquid – liquid separators from the series HDPC are designed for the removal of water and solids from process streams with moderate to high separating efficiency. The separators are especially suitable for treatment of large amounts of hydrocarbons due to the construction of the repack coalescers.
Hydro-Carbon - Water Adsorbing Monitors
Due to the increased use of all kind of additives in certain types of fuels and oils, these hydrocarbons can hold amounts of water in chemical emulsion. Although coalescers are highly (cost) effective in separating free and mechanically emulsified water, the presence of surfactants can reduce the efficiency of the separation.
Hydro-Carbon - Storage Tank Dewatering Systems
Storage tanks for flammable liquids and hydrocarbons inevitably take in water due to venting and leakages of floating roof tank seals or through en-trained water in the product itself. Over time this will result in a layer of water at the storage tank bottom. Between the two fluids a so called “rag layer” tends to form consisting of an oil-water mixture, creating an environment for bacterial growth. Eventually this will cause product quality degradation, corrosion of the storage tank interior and the forming of sludge.
Separation of Air and Gas
Hydro-Carbon - Degassers
Hydro-Carbon degassers for the removal of air and/or gasses from high volume liquid streams (degassing). Degassers are devices to mechanically remove entrained air and/or gasses from pipe lines and/or liquid systems. Closed liquid systems with entrained air and/or gas siphoned with the liquid in the system will; decrease pump capacity, increase the risk on hydraulic hammer and/or gives inaccurate measurement results. The Hydro-Carbon high capacity degassers will separate and remove all present air and/or gas. And as result, the liquid systems will be protected and the measurement results are reliable. The degasser for degassing is executed with a tangential inlet pipe in the upper part of the vessel, and also a tangential outlet in the bottom part of the vessel.
