Hydro Quip offers a complete line of Above Ground Rectangular Oil Water Separators for the effective separation of free and dispersed (non-emulsified) oil and settleable solids, that can be customized for your specific application. All our equipment meets or exceeds API 421 guidelines. The type of material and the type of media are always based on the characteristics of your wastewater. Our compact design features removable vapor-tight covers for easy cleaning. There are no chemicals or absorbent mesh packs to remove, replace, or dispose.

This Clarification Separator is a 75 gpm unit with 85-gallon single hopper. The Hydro Quip Clarification Separator is a horizontal gravity flow treatment system designed to separate settleable solids (specific gravity greater than water), suspended solids (specific gravity the same as water), and free and dispersed (non-emulsified) oil.

Hydro Quip’s Below Ground Oil Water Separators are newly designed. Since below ground oil water separators first entered the marketplace, there has been little innovation with the design. Most conventional designs are based on a 10:1 ratio requiring long retention times and resulting in larger units. Over the years, SPCC and NPDES have become more stringent in their guidelines, permits, and fines, yet the 10:1 design has not adapted to accommodate these ever-changing regulations. Inclined Plate Clarifier with coated carbon steel. Hydro Quip’s Inclined Plate Clarifiers are designed and manufactured to provide for the precipitation and separation of suspended solids. Our design employs the use of a series of plates inclined at an angle of 45° or 55°. This specialized design allows the unit to perform all of the functions of a conventional solids contact clarifier at a fraction of the space and cost.

Mobile plate clarifier operating inside tank. The Hydro Quip Mobile Plate Clarifier uses inclined plate technology designed specifically for use in mobile treatment tanks (Frac Tanks). Each module is designed for flow rates up to 200 gpm. Several modules can be incorporated for flexibility to handle higher flow rates. The Mobile Plate Clarifier provides side entry into the plate pack creating a laminar flow pattern resulting in superior effluent quality (reducing incoming total suspended solids in some cases to less than 5 mg/l).

Below ground oil water separators are not our preferred treatment solution for washing operations.  The separators work best with free oil from runoff and spill containment. Many companies claim that this solution is the best for this application.

The NEEP ShallowTray®, invented in 1988, was the first low profile air stripper offered to the marketplace. Since then, over 4,000 units have been installed worldwide. The ShallowTray is capable of stripping many different volatile organic contaminants (view list). One of the ways to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from wastewater is to use a pack tower air stripper. The pack tower is a counter-current design where the wastewater is injected at the top of the tower and the air is introduced at the bottom. In the middle of the tower, the packing material agitates the water and strips the contaminants. The contaminants are then released either to the atmosphere or to post treatment per your local regulations.

Different from traditional corrugated and inclined plate coalescing media, HD Q-PAC offers the highest effective coalescing surface of any media on the marketplace. With all rounded elements, the entire surface area is available to support oil droplet coalescence. This eliminates the need for second-stage polishing to achieve oil removal. HD Q-PAC is used for the separation of 20 micron oil with little to no suspended solids present in the wastewater. Meets EPA Method 1664 and European Standard EN-858.
